silly comparisons across eras really... esp when dealing with multiple teams with different personnel
and the whitlock column is a good job by him, it will generate plenty of attention and troll the Lakers fans who used similar logic against Lebron for the last two years.

Jordan had the greatest supporting cast ever. They won FIFTY-FIVE games without him and they there is a very good case that if it wasn't for injuries they would won a championship without him. Pippen and Grant missed 22 games had they stayed healthy ahey would've had homecourt throughout the playoffs.

Kobe had to play with Mark Madsen for years, that had to be negative offset of Shaq

Kobe
Really good 7 footers(Shaq&Bynum&Gasol and now Howard)
Swingman(Ariza&Metta W Peace)
PG(Fisher)
PF(Horry&Fox&Madsen)
Notable players that also assisted Grant, Harper, Brian Shaw, Mitch Richmond.
Jordan
Average 7 footers(Cartwright&Wennington&Perdue)
Swingmen(Pippen&Kukoc)
PF(Grant&Rodman)
PG(Armstrong)
Notable players assisted Harper, Hodges, Paxton, Kerr.
I'll take Kobe's supporting cast, especially with the huge edge at center!!

I'm wondering how many I this thread actually think Bynum contributed to the 2009 title? And how much affect he really had in 2010?
I think many are over valuing his contribution to those years because he was........................wait for it.............injured for most of it, especially the playoffs
He really didn't become consistent until the last two seasons and actually not really until this season.

Not to mention some in this thread seem to already be giving Nash and Howard credit for Kobe's winning.

No matter what happens, Kobe should not get credit for a sixth superstar championship ring if the Lakers win it all. This should count as a Robert Horry-like supporting player championship ring.
Change that from Horry to Pippen and I might believe he's half serious.

You can't take Whitlock seriously. But it is hilarious when he writes something you sorta agree with.

Ariza and Metta man were big reasons in both championship years, and Bynum contributed in 2010 because they couldn't have done it alone with soft Gasol, although Gasol played really well the previous champoinship year!
but Jordan pretty much had Pippen as the rest were role players, Rodman assisted sure in the other championship years, but it was through his great rebounding and dirty work! No scoring, Jordan and Pippen still had to do that!
