Ginsberg should have said "Keep your eyes closed and imagine all the unfairly suspended players. Now imagine they are white!"

Nah, if she had ruled today, the NFL would have immediately appealed.

She is holding off, and did everything she could to send a message to the arbiter to reverse this sham. Also sending a message to NFL to very seriously work to settle this.

If they don't, and the arbiter upholds, I am confident she will rule in favor of the players after 8/30.

She would just rather it come from the arbiter so she wouldn't be appealed.

She wants the NFL and arbiter to do the right thing so she doesn't have to.

Hang in there JVil!!!

This is common guys. Judges almost NEVER rule from the bench, especially in such a large case. They almost always take it under advisement.

She WANTS them to settle so that she doesn't have to set precedent.

AND she wants time to craft her decision, so that she can make it air tight and not overturned by the 5th Circuit.

She also CLEARLY sent a message to the Arbitration panel: get it right.

Good points there.
Just seems like it keeps dragging on and on.

100% correct.

The Article 14 of the CBA dealing with pay for performance will give her the legal authority.

She'd just rather the arbiter do it so she doesn't have to worry about being appealed.

She sent very clear messages to the arbiter and RG/NFL today IMO.

I agree. But if it means getting the right decision and suspensions overturned with a small step towards getting CSP back... DEF worth the wait.

PFT Florio who is a lawyer headlined it like this-

Judge says she’ll rule for Vilma, if she can find a way to legally do it

concluding-

Regardless of what she does and when she does it, the final outcome is destined to be appealed by the losing party. The ultimate question is whether the players will be permitted to play while the appeals court process plays itself out.

As a result, there’s a chance that the players could ultimately lose — but only after they have been permitted to play all of the 2012 season.

Thanks for the updates!

That was intense. I felt like I was i'n the courtroom.

I like how the judge disclosed that settlement talks were i'n fact taking place after the NFL denied it.

We aren't getting CSP under any circumstances back, unless the discovery reveals something TRULY sinister by Goodell (ie, he made it all up) and the media backlash is so strong that it forces his hand.

CSP is gone. Period.

However, we can score a victory over Goodell.

Don't read the comments under the article. Context is something that most of their readers can't grasp. They think the headline means she pre-decided the outcome and is trying to find a legal basis to rule. It's maddening.

Never read comments on PFT. It is the absolute dregs of society.

Anyway:

I wonder if the NFL will now produce evidence and witnesses for the August 30th Arbitration hearing? If they don't, they are basically thumbing their nose at Berrigan and saying: Go Ahead, rule against us. We have the 5th Circuit.
