One of the worst movies I've seen in awhile. How in the hell can grown men wander around in the Alaska wilderness and not see any bears? Wolves?! Come on!!

I can't get past the fact that there's been like 5 people killed the last 20 years by wolves and most of those were children. It's extremely rare....like this could never happen rare.

I can't remember their reasoning for leaving the plane wreckage. They could have made a shelter fairly easily.

I'm biased because I love Liam Neeson, but are you saying this was a bad movie because you didn't see any bears? And that the situation is unlikely? It's a movie bro. Real life =/= movie life. If you wanna bash it then bash the clothes rope scene. I enjoyed the action scenes. I also thought the soundtrack made it more emotional, which I'm a sucker for.

ETA: and they left the wreckage supposedly bc the wolves could surround them and they were vulnerable. Which I guess is plausible maybe. Gotta keep in mind that these wolves were super aggressive and programmer to kill, they don't exhibit real life wolf behavior. Comparable to say the jaws movies, sharks dont typically on killing frenzies.

FWIW, I hated Prometheus

We had a thread about this recently but I can't find it.

My theory was that they went to production before they had finished writing the script, and just kind of said "frick it."

I loved the movie and loved the ending. You know there is more of the ending during the credits. I found it very entertaining. I mean Liam Neeson is recovering from having to go to Paris to save his daughter from russian sex slave gangsters and Arab kings. He got her a spot singing with that superstar....he needed a break and went to Alaska to shoot wolves.

I was disappointed as well. I thought the movie was produced well and had good music. Was just a boring and unimaginative plot. I also couldn't differentiate any of the characters outside of Neeson and the black guy.

I thought you were a redneck.

Shouldn't you appreciate man vs. nature flicks?

This is a log of my thoughts throughout the movie... (spoilers of course)

- I'll watch this b/c I like Liam Neeson
- Liam Neeson is a total badass
- those wolves are a bit more aggressive than I think wolves are.
- seems like going away from the airplane is a bad idea, but Liam Neeson is a badass. they should trust him.
- these wolves are fricking nuts
- holy shite, is that Dermot Mulroney
- these guys sure are dying quick. i hope Liam Neeson does fail them all.
- no fricking way he made that jump
- so... if Liam Neeson is a badass, why is everyone dying?
- great... the movie's badass literally just walked into the wolves den. he deserves whatever death he gets.
