That's what they call the final 8 cause they take the final 8 to the championship site, similar to the final 4 in basketball.
They do 2 4 team double elimination tournaments, and the winners play best 2 of 3 for everything.

GREAT JOB GIRLS! our first trip to WCWS since 2004!
Nobody thought we would win the regional or the super regional. We have pulled off 4 upsets total over TAMu and mizzou.
awesome year so far!

They work to get the WS just like the boys do, same format. Win a regional and win a super and 8 teams go to the WS.

i started to watch the 2nd game today and once we were losing early i turned it off.. figured if i leave they'd maybe do something. so glad they won.. but i couldn't take any more of that anemic offense.

that timely hit saved our bacon. great pitching and defense from FICO and the girls also. timely hitting has been our downfall all year. our slappers are good for infield hits but we need better outfield hits and more power for next year. nobody thought we would beat TAMU twice or MIZZOu twice. but we did it. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
