My favorite part:

quote:

"'There's a lot you have to learn to become a good quarterback, but I'm willing to put in the work and the time to get myself in that position,' Jefferson said. 'There's different terminology, a different style of player. You've got to be under center more here and you've got 14-year veterans that have been studying the game for a long time and you're just coming out of college.

So, there's a lot you have to learn before you get to the level where you're successful like a Peyton Manning or an Eli or Dan Marino, you have to do a lot before you can get to that stage.'"

D. Marino-P. Manning-E.Manning...and J. Jefferson.

Yes, of course.

What is wrong with anything he said? Did he say he belonged in their company? Give the kid a break.

The problem with JJ is that you could cut off his head and he wouldn't be any dumber.

"Ranking 315 out of 315 players rated by NFL.com at the league's scouting combine in February."

Really, I never knew that. Surprised that wasn't discussed more here.

The kid cant win with yall can he. If he says that he threw the ball well then Hes a cocky selfish arse. If he says that he is going to work his tail off to try and play like the greats because hes not close to that then he gets bashed. What do you want him to say? My goal is to be Curtis Painter? My goal is to be Brad Johnson?

You seem to be a person of below average intelligence.

Damn I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Should he take the Jamarcus approach and not work hard, be lazy, just take the money, etc. Why are people bashing the guy.

Give him a break. He's in the NFL now, which is more than a lot of people can say. Plus he's a former Tiger. Are you sure you aren't a Bama fan trying to run off recruits?

This is the first time that JJ has said something that I agree with.

I'll just say that I'm very amused at all of the misdirected anger in this thread and leave it at that.

I hear you JJ. You will never be one of these guys unfortunately! Glad he isn't in an LSU uniform.

i don't think you understand what he's saying. Perhaps he should strive to reach the level of Ryan Leaf or Danny Wuerffel
