I will be attending a seminar next weekend in Chicago around a part of town called the "magnificent mile." I was wondering where should I go for Chicago style pizza and a Chicago dog?
Thanks
Thanks

I went to Geno's East for pizza. It was great

Thanks, Portillo's Hot Dogs is less than 1 mile from my hotel.
I wanted to go to Geno's east but I have read mixed reviews. Have you tried or heard about giordano's pizza chicago?
Thanks again for the help

I had Giordano's last time I was there. It was fantastic (based on my limited Chicago pizza experience).

I ate at Portillo's a couple times when I was in Chicago. Good stuff. Had Giordano's. It was good, but I'm not a fan of Chicago pizza. Prefer NY Style.

If you're headed near Wrigley try Byron's Hot Dog Haus

Went to wrigley yesterday for the game. We pregamed at Murphy's bar before the game. They've got a little grill in there as well with some pretty good dogs. It's one of the coolest bars I've ever been to in my life though. Place was packed with cubs and brewers fans @ 11:00 during the day on a Wednesday. Chicago is definitely one of the coolest places I've been to.

Chicago is a great city.

Pizzeria Uno's, Duo's, Gino's East, Giordanno's & Lou Malnati's are all in that area. Can't really go wrong with any of those. Some people rave about the "buttery crust" of Lou Malnati's but they all are similar.
Hit up Portillo's to get a dog AND an italian beef w/ hot peppers, dipped. You'll thank me later.

Peace Brew Pub and Pizzeria is 100x's better than any chicago style pizza you will get there. fwiw i think that shite is overrated. too much dough and cheese. had giordano's...didn't care for it.

Im not a fan of deep dish pizza either, but if youve never been there before, you have to try it.

Ever since I had giordanos for the first time a couple years back, I haven't tried any other Chicago style pizza. I get it shipped from Chicago to Nola, and in fact enjoyed a sausage and pepperoni pizza 2 nights ago from giordanos. Giordanos FTW
