It was the proper decision by Fields. He was already rounding third and he sees the first baseman fumbling, bumbling and juggling the throw. If he wouldn't have gone there, we would all be going APESHIT right now. Bottom line, it was absolutely the right call.

I never said this before but I think it's time for him to go.

It was at worst a 50% play. Jones chances of driving in the run with 2 outs was well below 50%.
Just making up percentages? Clearly not a "50%" play when you consider who was behind home plate. That guy called us out earlier, screwed us all night long on other calls, and you want to say a fairly close play at the plate would be a 50/50 shot? Sorry, no.

I don't hate you
Yes you clearly do, you follow me around and any chance you get now take a shot.

I just think you know very little about the game and yet are constantly running your mouth.
And my opinion is very low of you too. You're a 40 something year old guy running around stalking people on a message board. Sorry you've been butthurt about a comment I made a few years ago. Get over it, really...

Remember the time you called for Blake Dean to be benched?
For ONE GAME when he was like sub .200 and hitting 2-3 infield pop outs a game. He had a really long terrible stretch and got away with a lot of hot garbage. I never wanted him benched permanently, just a "take a seat and think about it one game" approach. Give it a rest, you don't have to bring this up and blow it out of proportion every single time you can.

26 more sec games to go. decide after that imo

We should have left in Nola! He wouldnt have even been to 3rd by the time the 1B picked it up so he would have had to stay.

So, rather than a 50/50 shot to win, you'd rather make LSU knock the run in, which is probably less than 50/50?
Once again, NOT a 50/50 shot with that guy behind the plate, come on now...

I thought I heard the Auburn announcers say we had Moore protecting Rhymes and he only has 8 ABs but I thought he had more than that

The umps need to call the game correctly
I'm not giving him a pass. But how many times can we tie the game and then give the lead right back up? Our bullpen is still very average, at best. Our bats are still poor. Yeah, the ump blew it, but we played poorly and didn't really deserve to win, so I won't cry about the ump making a mistake when we made plenty of our own. Although that one and the double play on Hanover cost two runs, really.
So nevermind, frick the umps.

moore had 21 at bats coming into the game.

That will just make the decision even easier.

wasn't terrible but I don't like it... its pretty hilarious though that you call people out when you're often regarded as a joke here
If I had a dollar for every time I've heard someone suggest that you should stick to basketball I could retire right now.
Nevertheless, the guys in this thread who clearly understand the game agree with me on this point. And you find yourself on the other side of basic logic yet again.
It is what it is. Continue to argue if you must.

Agree with all of that Stewie

yeah i mean hanover was definitely safe in the second inning so that call cost us a run. but you know what. ty ross use your freaking brain and they have zero chance at turning 2.

people on every board hate you and often think your opinion is garbage. but you're right bro! YOU ARE NEVER WRONG OR HAVE A MINORITY OPINION!!

I would have had no problem with Fields going if we didn't have trouble with the home plate ump all night, but that simply wasn't the case. Yes the home plate ump blew the call, but it was a close enough play and from what we've seen all night he could get away with 1 more screw job. Can't put ourselves in that position given the situation.
It's a different situation if say this happened very early in the game, but once again, not the case.

you aren't allowed to have a different opinion on anything or you're a fricking idiot that doesn't know what they are talking about.
