Press Maravich gotta be the coach.
He'd let Pete do his thing. No team could ever out rebound us if he missed.

WOW.. some people amaze me.. have Ricky Blanton on the list but not a Hall of Famer in Petit.

Chris Jackson -
Howard Carter 6th man.
Rotate Petit to center to give Shaq a breather.
Most Pistol to point forward to give Macklin a breather or move Macklin to his normal power position.

I just can't get on board with a coach that didn't even make 1 NCAA tournament with the greatest player in NCAA history on his team.

Pete, CJ, Rudy, Petit and Shaq
Five best players yes.
Best starting five no.
Pete and CJ wouldn't work well together as a guard combo.
I love CJ aka Mahmoud, but would have to bring him off the bench if the goal is best starting five. Insert Howard Carter or for true LSU basketball history, Sparky Wade.
One last comment John "even if you want to call him by his NBA nickname Hot Plate" Williams deserves a lot more credit than he gets.

Shooting guard - Bo Spencer
Point Guard - THE Tack Minor
Thoughts?

As a compliment to shaq...who the hell could get a shot off with those two in the middle?

oh, no doubt, D-Mitch had a lot of heart, but I'm still sticking with Blanton...i'll never forget him going against Kenny "Sky" Walker and beating UK in the Regional Final.
