I've avoided the Walking Dead threads because too many people here had to show how awesome they are by talking about the comic book. I came back hoping things had settled down, but it looks like I was wrong.

You always post this in walking dead threads... No Comic book spoilers came out. Someone mentioned that a role had been cast for next year.

Have you read the thread? There are two other spoilers in this thread besides the Governor one.

Obviously Rick was coming back for Shane, but I really thought he was gonna cap the kid and then come back.

I was thinking the same. The kid encouraged Rick to just leave Shane behind so now Rick knows the kid isn't any different from the thugs he was running around with.

Seriously, how good have the last two episodes been? Almost like a different show entirely.

They went from slow, plotting scenes with a little action to now being full of action but also focusing on character interaction.

The conversation between Shane and Rick was intense. And in the end, Rick bested him and could have killed him if he chose to. Rick is the alpha of the group and established that. Shane throwing the wrench, waking a storm on zombies was great. The kid is annoying.

Actually, I thought Rick was going to pull a Shane, plug the kid in the leg, and then him and Shane run for freedom. Would have been interesting...though out of Rick's character.

The showdown between Andre and Lori was great. Andrea, like Shane, means well, but is so clueless in how to get her point across, thus pissing people off.

I expect this to really turn south, with Shane and Andrea causing a mini rebellion, Andrea realizing Shane is going too far (maybe killing the kid), and then getting plugged for good measure. Andrea falls in line. Shane bites the dust. And they continue on to their destination for Season 3.

(none of this is from any knowledge of the comics, all speculation - so shaddup)

The Walking Dead Facebook page had a story last week about the Governor. It wasn't a spoiler website. It was the own creator of the show. If that's a spoiler, then I have another one for you. You're gonna die one day.

I flipped through some of the comics featuring the governor the other day when I was in the bookstore.

not saying anything about spoilers, but if the show's version of him is anything like his comic counterpart, shite is going to get real in Season 3.

He is one of the best (and obviously most sadistic) characters in the comics. I hope they can do him justice.

This was a neatly paced and ordered episode with some interesting dialogue.

I really don't care for the blond girl in the home so it's not that big a deal if she goes, but the discussion she created was a neat one.

Lori is bad.

OMFG!!! SPOILER TAGS DOOOOOD!!!

So if people posting info from the comic series get this much shite in here how bad would it be if someone posted spoilers for the comic before the issue came out?

Whoooooooaaa, double spoiler!!!!

i really liked this episode.

i found it interesting they made a point about mentioning the guards had no wounds. it looks like they are starting to go out of their way to point to what the comic says about the virus. at the same time, we are getting info from the characters perspective, no one is omniscient.

They don’t know what causes zombification but they definitely know bites do(well at least kill you). I think they assume scratches but we’ve had too much splatter and that epi in season 1 where they wear guts…c’mon.

i loved the open symbolism behind shane looking at the wandering zombie. also the conversations btwn rick and shane were good stuff.

i'm not really a nitpicker on continuity and logic errors but this got me thinking:

Remember the person/zombie that hung himself and daryl and andrea came upon in the woods?

his legs were (or the meat of his legs) were missing suggesting that some zombie found him and had a snack.

assuming that he hung himself and death was pretty immediate, did the zombie actually eat the legs off a dead guy? does that happen?

Didn't Darryl say/believe that animals ate his legs?

He may not have died from hanging himself. You have to fall pretty hard to break the neck. Or he could have done it right before they attacked him and they nibbled on his nether region until he became one.

I'm thinking he hung himself, and within the time frame it took for him to come back, he was nibbled on by walkers

Was the hanging guy the one that left a note that said something along the lines of "got bit, decided to quit." Or was that the guy they found in the tent...?

Even a dead human is warm and tasty to a walker for at least a little while. He could have been dead and they still feasted on him a while which turned him a walker (hanger really).

The only issue I had with the last show was where they were going to drop off the boy. If they were really going to give him a chance, why drop him off where there were buildings? Buildings mean people and people mean zombies. Dump him off in the woods ten miles from anywhere. Much less chance of being eaten that way.
