What's all the fuss about?

-We just played in our third national title game in 9 years, 2nd in the last 5 years (two of which we won, by the way)
-We just won our 4th SEC title in 11 seasons and appeared in our third SECCG in the last 7 years (that's right: your LSU Tigers have won an astounding 36% of the last 11 SEC championships)
-We are the winningest program in the SEC since 2005 ... and since 2000... basically since the Internet and modern cell phones were invented LSU has owned the SEC
-We have a top notch head coach, top notch talent, top notch facilities, top notch staff, and arguably the most depth in the country
-And oh yeah ... LSU is the favorite to win it all, yet again, in 2012.
Some of you pansies need to take a deep breath and recognize what you've got in front of you: LSU football as a program at the finest point IN ITS HISTORY. Yeah, we lost to Bama in the 2012 BCSCG...Oh well, get over it. They're good, and will continue to be, so just accept that. That said, despite their Jan 9th win, even Bama has been owned by LSU on a regular basis (LSU has beaten Bama in 9 of the last 13 meetings BTW). The loss sucked, but anyone using the BCSCG loss as some sort of "negative" mark on Miles or LSU or anything associated with LSU has lost their mind. Repeat back to yourself as many times as necessary: LSU just played in its THIRD national title game in 9 years.
LSU, at least over the last 7-10 years,... IS college football. Enjoy that. And get ready to win the whole thing again in 2012.

Quit making threads like this and maybe people will move on. Threads like this make it worse, listen to your own advice to the negative crowd, and move on.

Them's the facts. The 1/9 loss was hard because of the way it went down, but it's over and done. No do overs. Continuously beating up on the current coach isn't going to change it. He's here for the next season, like it or not. In spite of what happened, he got us to TWO national championships with a good chance to get there again. I'm still going through the grief process, but I'm reaching the end stages and the good memories of 2011 along with the possibilities of 2012 are giving me comfort and fire.
I'd sure as hell rather have this problem than talking about the past 7 win season and the future of trying to make it an 8 win season. We have a stellar program and, you're right, we should be enjoying this ride.

If Les would have at least put Lee in for a series or two, people wouldn't complain as much. I don't think Les did all he could to win the game and that will raise questions. It was a great season with an unfortunate and shitty ending. This perceived down recruiting class isn't helping things, but it won't be determined how good or bad it really is for another couple years. I'm ready for spring ball to get here and the start of another great season.

That's the LSU Fighting Tigers spirit! Great positive spin on things - and everything was factual! I love it!
In reality I think the entire nation (LSU fans included) was simply shocked to see us go down w/o a fight against 'Bama.
Look for the LSU vs ALA game in Tiger stadium for 2012 to have an entirely different atmosphere and attitude - and result more to our liking.
Yes we got embarrassed on a national stage but I don't see this happening again any time soon. Things will return to normal this season. Geaux Tigers!

Yes, you tell 'em. That 21-0, first blowout in BCS bowl history, waste of a perfect season, Lee didn't see the field, recruitment hurting, respect losing loss in the biggest game of the year was a "positive".
Maybe the people saying "get over it" need to get over it. It was horrible and will always be remembered as such.
That being said we win it all next season with Mett, take back our respect, and embarrass Saban and Bama to top it off.

Agreed 100%. Some of our fans are spoiled. They have no clue and I can't imagine how they would handle true struggles at some institutions; ie, Ole Miss, etc, etc.
It is great to be an LSU fan and I for one believe our future is very promising. Hell, our last several years have been great. We can't win them all, but most important for me is that LSU is respected and can compete every year for championships and major bowl appearances.
