I recently watched The Seven Deadly Sins on Netflix. I thought it was pretty good. The action sequences were a little Yu Gi Oh or whatever like or kind of rpg like which was somewhat lame, but it had good humor. I also thought the fantasy world was pretty cool.
Any board thoughts?

Hey Scruffy, I'm in the middle of Rage of Bahamut: Genesis. Had a quick question, is it 12 episodes or 13? It just jumped from Episode 6 to 8 on Hulu. No number 7 to be found. Tried google, but oddly it wasnt much help.
Side note:
.hack//sign 6.5/10. Fun premise, and I love the character development for the most part. But animation was tedious, and for a character based show, they accelerated some things with character's motivations that weren't explained well. Especially since they had a full 25 episodes with which to do it.

Such a great list right there plus saw a lot of other anime series I watched and liked being mentioned afterwards, I won't repeat them.
Will definitely note down the other recommendations.
However I am surprised not to have seen
'Assassination Classroom' talked about anywhere here - anyone watched it?
What about 'Heavy Object'?
I don't know if anyone would agree but I would also count 'Saint Seiya' as one of the classics - I haven't watched all the newer series though ('Lost Canvas' - just bits and pieces and Soul of Gold etc...).

I know I'm late to the party but I was looking for something to watch and decided to start watching Food Wars today. It's incredibly fricked up but I love every second of it .

New one to check out.
Youjo Senki (Saga of Tanya the Evil)
On the front lines of the war, there is a little girl. Blond hair, blue eyes, and porcelain white skin, she commands her squad with lisping voice. Her name is Tanya Degurechaff. But in reality, she is one of Japan's most elite salarymen, reborn as a little girl after angering a mysterious being who calls himself God. This little girl, who prioritizes efficiency and her own career over anything else, will become the most dangerous being amongst the sorcerers of the imperial army.
I love the fricked up, evil characters.

Im looking for a 2+ season anime to watch. I have recently finished some ones I really liked:
Seven deadly sins (of what is out so far)
Sinbad (heard its not being continued0
Knights of Sidonia (no word)
Aldnoah (ended I think)
Akame ga kill (ended I think)
..and a few others but they sadly ended too quickly. Not only that, but word is a few of them arent even going to be finished.. which sucks because I loved their storylines and I am not a manga reader.
Any good, long, series with real endings or at least ones that dont randomly stop, that yall recommend?

I'm on Episode 4 of Steins;Gate and it's really great. Characters are very interesting. If you like sci-fi and time travel, check it out. I'm enjoying the ride so far.
I started with the dub and made it to episode 4, but I restarted with the sub and I'd say the sub is superior to the dub. However, compared to other anime dubs, they did a fantastic job with it. I'd still recommend the sub though.

I need a recommendation for an anime newbie. Looking for something very dark and violent, with great animation, and suitable for an adult. Nothing like the Naruto/DBZ type stuff. Something available on Netflix or Amazon, and no sci-fy please.

Started Hunter x Hunter last night and got sucked in big time. Gets interesting at episode 3. I'm not a huge anime fan and do research before jumping into one but I feel as if it will be a good one.
