Sweet rebuttal. What exactly was wrong with Brantley's mechanics? I'm assuming you can give me an educated answer since you are so adamant about it.
sure, glad you asked
he has a long, slow, looping delivery. he drops the ball almost like a pitcher. chad henne did the exact same thing, but he was able to get away with it because he has a really, really strong arm.

I can't believe I overlooked this, but...wow. Did you grab this from the local Walkmarks? We know why you don't post on the OT now.

You convinced me...its a bad hire.

We should jsut hire DBG, he is much more qualified because he has never coached a QB with a bad throwing motion. WTF was Chizik thinking?

You just described Tebow. Brantley has a pretty good throwing motion.

Hey brah, next time you do you clothes shopping at Walkmarks, can you pick me up some tighty whities? I have skid marks in all of mine right now. I'll pay you back.
BTW, make sure they are fruit of the loom.
TIA.

MrCFB Tony Barnhart
Met Scot Loeffler when he worked at Florida as QB coach. Was very impressed with him. Good hire for Auburn.
Barnhart approves I approve

For example, when asked a pretty benign question on tweaks he’s made to quarterback John Brantley’s mechanics, Loeffler answered: “He had a great motion whenever I got here. All we did was try to refine it and obviously make it quicker and more accurate.” Can you give even one specific example? “I don’t want to get into that,” he said. Of course not. But here’s one thing Loeffler fixed with Brantley: raising his arm angle in order to take stress off his elbow. Brantley has had chronic pain in his throwing elbow since high school, but Loeffler found a solution shortly after Florida hired him in January 2009. Brantley had a tendency to drop his elbow below his shoulder and hold the ball too far away from his body, creating an obtuse throwing angle. Loeffler trained him to elevate his elbow and release the ball close to his head — creating close to a 90-degree throwing angle — and, in doing so, taught him how to generate more power from his lower body.
Well, that explains it.
He sucks.

Brantley III did not want to rip former quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator Dan Mullen — “Dan’s Dan. “We’re not going to get into any much of a conversation about Mullen,” he said — but said Loeffler has been an upgrade. “I don’t know if that was a good marriage or not,” Brantley III said of Mullen. “I’m really glad he changed. We’re extremely happy with Scot Loeffler. He’s perfect for Johnny. We couldn’t hand pick anybody better than Scot Loeffler. He’s great at teaching what he knows.”

nice. seems he tried to fix his mechanics and may have improved them slightly. but theyre still pretty bad, thats clear as day, just watch highlights
and brantley still sucked. so, theres that

Ouch. Don't show this to the MSU grinders.
