Loeffler is creative, but he doesn't develop QB's very well. I like his offense, but I'm not a big fan of his QB coaching. He did nothing for Tebow or Brantley as a coach. He's an above average recruiter, didn't do anything to really help UF as a recruiter or hurt us.

First of all, he developed Tom Brady, Chad Henne, Brian Griese, and others. He had Tebow one year, what was he going to do with him. Secondly, he has never run his offense, so what offense did you like? The only time he was OC, he was stuck running what that genius Addazio made him run, which he didn't like.

Well, looks like his former players and fellow coaches say he is great with QB's and is a solid coach. Media reporters say he is a good hire. DBG says he is awful and a terrible hire. Obviously Chiz struck out here then.

rantard.

I value his opinion most.

He was the play caller in the 09 sugar bowl for UF. That game was beautifully called by him.

Just saw this too from a rivals guy.

"I was covering Michigan when Loeffler was the quarterbacks coach and throughout his entire tenure, the likes of Lloyd Carr, Bo Schembechler and everyone who was around Loeffler were tabbing him as a future major D1 head coach. Guy can flat out coach football, and was responsible for grooming the likes of Tom Brady and Chad Henne. When Brady first hit it big in the NFL, Loeffler was always one of the guys he mentioned as being key to his ascension and they maintain a close relationship. Worked wonders in recruiting too... helped him land Henne. Great guy too, very loyal to the programs he coaches for. I think this is a home run hire for Auburn."

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to put words in your mouth. You just think he can't develop a sound mechanical QB and isn't a good hire.

Sorry everybody. I didn't mean to make DBG look like a flaming rantard.

I think your assessment is best. You of all people should know what bad QB play is after suffering through LSU's QB's the last few years.

As a Pats fan, I'm still fapping the article about his and Brady's relationship.

and isn't a good hire.

this is true

i've seen a ton of slow, looping throws from jordan jefferson, a staple of the loeffler QB system

It took 40 days because Chizik has stated he wanted his DC first. Lefty then interviewed at LSU this past Tuesday.

Probable cost us a couple of cruits, but we will be OK.

I have to admit the more I am reading about Loeffler and the things being said from some pretty reputable people. I am starting to feel pretty good about our new OC. I actually need to thank DBG for being a douche as it brought a lot of links and info.

Apparently he was hired over Jim Harbaugh in 2002 for UM.

He really has done a good job in getting all of us more knowledgeable about the man we just hired.
