What part of first round is causing so much confusion?

Definitely one of the strongest drafts I can remember. The only guy who looks like a complete bust is Gabbert.

I liked Randall Cobb pre-draft, still do. He has been a pretty good kick returner and you gotta like the offense he is in if you're looking for a potential star in the making. Sure he isn't involved in the offense like Jennings,Nelson,or even Finley just yet but I think he will be down the road.

Edit: Oops. He was a second round pick, sue me.

You got solid contributors like:

Marcell Dareus
Julio Jones
Tyron Smith
JJ Watt
Nick Fairley
Robert Quinn
Mike Pouncey
Ryan Kerrigan
Nate Solder
Adrian Clayborn
Phil Taylor
Jonathan Baldwin
Mark Ingram
Cam Jordan is a starting DE for an 11-3 team. I'd call him a solid contributor.

Scott Shanle starts for an 11-3 team too.

He's clearly awesome.

Ohh i can do this really good.

Matthew Slater, Inebedo, and any-corner-the-pats-can-find-bagging-groceries start for an 11-3 team,

theyre prowbowlers obviously.

ETA knocking the logic, not C. Jordan. Lets get that out of the way

Personally I think Kerrigan has made the biggest impact on a team on the defensive end, over PP and Miller

From the games I've watched, he's had a decent season.

I think Jordan is going to be a decent player as well.

But coming into this draft, I believed that Ponder was the best QB. While it looks like Newton and Dalton will be the top two, I still believe Ponder is going to be a good one. He is learning on the fly right now and showing a lot of promise.

Lot of guys who've done well so far for sure.

Cam has surprised me the most (didn't think he'd sniff a possibility of ROY), Von Miller isn't too surprising and PP I think will be a great corner too.

So if you had to choose between these three classifications.. since this is the point of the thread..

Star in the making
Solid contributor
Bust

I didn't think von miller would be any good in the nfl after lsu shut him down in the cotton Bowl. But now he is one of the best pass rushes in the league.

I would add a fourth category called too soon to tell, but I don't think he is a solid contributor yet and he is certainly not a bust yet.

I don't have stats in front of me, but didn't he sack Webb in Minnesota? Or maybe they counted it as a tackle for loss.

Either way, Cam has been a dependable player. Not impact, but dependable.

Definitely has made some occasional big plays, but god damn he's inconsistent.

Looks (yet again) to be injury prone.

And those undependable hands, lord have mercy.

Until he can show the ability to stay healthy or play well while banged up AND stop dropping the damned ball, a superstar he will not be.

A.J. Green? Not that kid is gonna be a super, super, super star.
