Are tickets hard to get? Think it would be a pretty cool experience. Thoughts or experiences?

Curious as well. Definitely something I (and I'm sure most others) want to go to at least once.

I think if you went you'd have a great time, but I don't think not going to football game makes you a shitty American

If you are, I guess I'm a shitty American too.

I'm a big fan of tradition. Probably why I have the desire to go.

Yes I have. Nephew graduated in 2010 from Naval Academy. Great pregame and halftime. The game is plain as far as offense but the overall experience is great. Even had a beer with Roger Staubach at the team hotel. Fear The Goat! Go Navy!

My brother went to Navy, but I was never able to make it to one. My parents went one year and said it was great, except for the fact that it was freezing (game in Philly).
I hope to be able to make it to one in the future.

Yes, tickets are easy to get. We would get them online a few months before the game - no problems.
The game atmosphere is always great. There is obviously a lot of family and veterans, but there's seemingly regular Army/Navy football fans who are no different than SEC fans. They get loud and crude. It's an interesting mix of people.
They serve alcohol at the game.
One year my buddy and I decided to walk down to closest row by the 50 yard line for the coin toss. The President was walking out and at one point we were about 20 feet away from George W Bush. So that was cool.
There's also a bunch of Army/Navy satirical commercials that the Cadets/Midshipmen make for the game. They show a few of these on TV, but at the game they show tons of them, they're constantly on the Jumbotron when the game stops. So there's that.
Just the whole atmosphere, the patriotic songs and camaraderie and the pageantry, it all makes you very proud to be an American. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't been.

My ex has...she was 16 and had no clue what she had witnessed til I told her. Friend of her family was a west point grad and lifer in the military. She thought it was cool. They had paratroopers land on the field.
I'd imagine it's like any game where there is a will there is a way.

Ive been at least twice, i might of went 3 times when i was a teenager. I remember seeing one game at the vet in philly and a game at giants stadium. The march of the cadets and midshipmen before the game is incredible. Ive also seen games in annapolis and west point. A football game in west point in the fall is an unbelievable experience.

Don't think we've ever met. I just knew I graduated a year ahead of you at CHS based on some other posts. I was interested in the academies out of high school and know who most of the guys are that went to service academies.
