Your concession stands are nicer...but the atmosphere in BDS is a joke. I wasnt impressed with it during the LSU game.
Tiger Stadium is certainly louder, but this statement is ridiculous. BDS atmosphere stadium a "joke". REALLY???

I've only been once (LSU 2007) and most of the game was really loud. Late in the 4th it got pretty quiet though

Is this likely no, but it's more likely than bammers wish to think.
Saban last coached at MSU 12 years ago, yet you type like you spoke to him yesterday. I don't think you have the slightest inkling what motivates Saban.
You also completely ignore the years-long process that will be required to rebuild PSU's reputation, standing, support, recruiting, etc.

Don't you get it Ice Cold? Saban and especially Terry Saban are MISERABLE...I repeat....MISERABLE in Tuscaloosa and have been begging for other job offers to escape the hell their lives have become in Tuscaloosa. It's been that way since the day he set foot in Tuscaloosa. The dozen and a half "Saban to _________" started on this board the last 5 years have only failed to come true because CNS couldn't convince those teams that he was a competent coach. First job interview he aces, he's outta there. It must be true because I read on it on the TR.

quote:I agree with this. Anyone who is objective about Alabama football must acknowledge that historically it is the top program of all time. The only rival to Alabama in terms of championships, and historical and social impact, is Notre Dame, which hasn't been relevant in years.

Cant you people just go away? The arrogance is nauseating.
Like it or not, it's the truth. Yes we're arrogant, yes we've earned the right to be. We're arguably the best program in the history of the game, and that doesn't look likely to change anytime soon.
Like it or not, Alabama football is at the top.

there's zero jobs in college football better than Alabama

this is cute and all but Bama ain't letting God himself take Saban away from them
they'll pay him in first borns if that's what it takes
he'll die there on the sideline and it will be a sad sight to witness

He is not unhappy in Tuscaloosa. He was not unhappy at LSU or MSU. He won't be coaching until he's in his 70s and when he quits he'll quit and go away. If he retires from the Alabama job it would be really surprising if he stays in Alabama. He's not a huge fan of Bear Bryant type worship and really wouldn't want to put up with people yelling "roll tide" at him in his retirement.
That's why the Penn State job is appealing. He can leave Alabama and not really give a shite if people are disappointed in him and take on one last great challenge in bringing back Penn State and big ten. The only place where he really felt bad about leaving was MSU.
The Penn State job is not a major rebuilding job and they won't face any NCAA sanctions since they didn't violate any NCAA rules.

ok you have me convinced.
But I would buy it more if Bama didn't make the BCSNCG. But if they made and lost he might look into it

The Penn State job IS a major rebuilding job. Maybe not on the field, but PR wise it his. He HATES doing PR BS which is almost all the next coach they have is going to have to do for a year or two. That scandal is probably as close of a "black eye" any NCAA program not named SMU will ever have.
Assuming he retires at Alabama, everyone knows he won't hang around the program. He's made it quite clear his retirement plans are at Lake Burton.

There isn't, when all things are considered. There are several that compare, but none are better. You can say the same about Southern Cal, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Nebraska. Florida and LSU are quickly gaining that status. Tennessee and Penn State would be up there, if not for extenuating circumstances right now.

During contract negotiations it will be made perfectly clear that he won't have to do that stuff. Penn State is desperate enough that they'll be happy with just winning.
What could make this interesting is that people like Jim Delanay, and coaches like Mark Dantonio and other big ten coaches could ask him to take the job.

They can negotiate it all they want to. The fact is people like ESPN are going to be all over the next coach, for two reasons. One, he is going to be following "The Guy," and two because of the scandal.
