A look back at JJ being booed at the Kentucky game

would be nice if tiger stadium give him a standing ovation this saturday.
LINK
In his first game back, Jefferson took the field to a mix of boos and cheers.
Jefferson said he “definitely” heard the boos, but shrugged it off, chalking it up to the emotional fans, which have also given him support in his return.
“A lot of my fans that are really my true fans are happy that I’m back, and I received a lot of encouragement,” Jefferson said. “I was standing right next to Miles, and I told him I was going to score the touchdown for the team. Once he gave me the opportunity … I had to do whatever it takes to get into the end zone, and that’s what I did.”
oh, lets not forget that JL have probably been booed more than JJ before this season.

How about we go back to what we should be doing, cheering the whole team. We need to stop being so individual about it all. Just stay to the final whistle and cheer for the whole team.

This. Jesus, how dumb can people be?
For God's sake, this is when you should be happy. Don't bitch, enjoy the damn ride! This shite doesn't happen often.
Cut the negative shite out or shut up.

Wasn't right, but if I remember it right, Didn't Lee take them down the field, and then they hand it to JJ at the 1? The situation wasn't the best, for someone who had been on suspension for fighting. I can understand both sides, here. I think JJ has earned his way back, at least, in most people's eyes.

I'd much rather JJ run a QB sneak than Lee. And it wasn't like Lee was going for a record breaking TD. And seeing Lee's emotion after JJ scored is all that I needed to see. frick the haters JJ.

without JJ the bama game could have turned ugly in a hurry. He was not spectacular but did just enough for the win.

He should definitely deserve a standing ovation on Senior Day.

Every time this guy speaks, note how many times he uses "I" and "Me" versus "We", "Us", or "Team".

this is the wrong way to think in so many ways... to me, there is no understanding with booing a college player. Period.

I'm neutral on this whole deal... but I'm going to play devil's advocate here...
let's say some fans weren't happy with the situation the team was put in due to that incident just weeks before LSU opened a highly anticipated season with a top-5 battle at a neutral site... knowing the nation's eyes were on that LSU game.
JJ, being the senior & starting QB, whether deserving or not, became the face of the incident and that sneak against UK was the fans first chance to truly show their displeasure with it.
After 1 round of "don't screw up again" they go back to cheering for him the rest of the way b/c he is a LSU Tiger trying to help lead this team to a national championship
and yes he absolutely does... for his play on the field the last few seasons

How about students (mainly Greeks) chanting "Jarrett Lee" right before JJ hit Randle for a long touchdown against Auburn?

We get it, dude. You don't like JJ. You don't have to bring it up every chance you get.

Just sick of hearing JJ's name. Tired of the back and forth, the chants, and getting hit in the head with the race card every time you criticize him. Tired of the poor execution sprinkled with flickers of competence. Just want it all to go away. Can't wait till his graduation.

JJ played and played well,
I was at the game. Missed that part.

My constant defense of Lee's play on the field is becoming bothersome to you?
My apologies, I've only heard you salivating over JJ. Clearly, I'm not paying attention.

He'll probably start, join the golden girls for the half time show, serve up some tiger dogs in one of the concession stands in the north stadium, parade Mike around the field once, feed Les a box full of 'grass', and still manage to show up and do his level best to help us lose in the fourth quarter by going 3/27 and -22 yards while blaming his "good" performance on the janitor.

im just going by what JJ said. Have you not been following?
Sorry, should have been clearer, wasn't directing that at you, just referencing the quote.
If you're going to be a Tiger fan, it's a good idea to be behind the entire team.

that's the beauty of the whole situation. JJ doesn't need your approval neither does JL. so keep your trite displays of acceptance to yourself.

Lee won the Bama game. He's 9-0 on the year as a starter. That's what we were told last year when Lee was instrumental in the Florida and Tennessee wins. Can't have it both ways. If JJ gets the credit for those wins, JL gets the credit for Bama.

I am confused by this comment. Was our Defense not going to play anymore or something? If so, I must have missed it.

any defense will wear down with the quarterback giving up possessions quickly.
