First off I haven't read any game threads. So some of this may fly in the face of stuff posted here.

Random thoughts

- Great Experience overall
- Don't know if it's the year or the UT norm, but the Vol fans seemed very laid back. Very friendly.
- Knoxville is a cool town. Clean. Nice architecture. Walkable.
- LSU travelled well. Calhoun's looked like a Tiger Lair. Excellent presence in Neyland.
- Neyland Stadium was much nicer than I expected. UT gameday atmosphere was OK.

In terms of the game
- LSU didn't make mistakes. UT did => drops, dumb penalties, stupid calls
- Both our OLine and DLine looked VERY pedestrian. Play that way next week (much less vs Bama) will spell trouble.
- Having said that, the sweep was there for LSU all day long.
- JJ appeared athletic. Fast. Strong. But missed a couple of big gainers not handing-off to Shep.
- #7 did not have a good game. More mouth than technique this outing.
- Front 4 need to get more pressure on the QB.
- Randle is very good! Fast, quick. Looks NFL ready.
- Special teams weren't all that special for the first time this year. Extreme speed saved at least one TD KO Return.
- Overall, difference between the two teams didn't appear near 38-7. But it's a 31 pt SEC road victory nonetheless

Oh and JJ made some awful throws.

Spot on.

The way we looked in the trenches is a cause for concern going forward.

Good observations. I thought the defense had a subpar first half. Hopefully this will teach them not to read their clippings. I'd really like to see us get more pressure on the QB. With our DLine we should be doing a better job of this.

I think the Tenn fans are some of the nicest in the SEC. I have made the trip to Knoxville and found the same hospitality as well.

Wish we had run it more, esp with Ford

If LSU had widened the field with For, I doubt this would have been as much of a concern. Tennessee knew where the ball was going. UT did a good job of clogging the middle.

Not saying I disagree but he only threw 3 passes. The one completion was well thrown though.

Either way, I want lee getting more snaps and JJ getting less.

JJ running isn't hard to do. We need lee to be sharp in November

So he went 1/3 and ur blasting him?

He went 3/4 against uf.

HE went 0/0 against UK.

Where are all these terrible throws coming from?

As time expired, the CBS cameras locked into him on the sidelines for 20 to 30 seconds and he was pissed about something, Fing this and MFing that. What happened?

It's makes me so mad. Everyone that has watched tenn knows they are weak on the edge and can be beat. Ford was gashing them, only to ride the bench. The play calling like it always has been has no rhym or reason, no adjustments nothing. Ford is wasting his talents here

Miles/Stud/Krags had to know it was there too, just had some reason for continuing to try the middle. Frustrating, but worked out in the end.

Don't really understand how the OL could look so pedestrian when we rushed for 260 yards for an average of 5 yards per carry. They knew we were going to run and we still we able to shove it down their throat.

There was a great aerial view of the stadium late on the broadcast- before the RS score - there was maybe 20k left in the stadium and all the ramps were full of orange.
