Amazed at the lack of turnovers this year. Has to be en route to setting some kind of team record.

It's makes me so mad. Everyone that has watched tenn knows they are weak on the edge and can be beat. Ford was gashing them, only to ride the bench. The play calling like it always has been has no rhym or reason, no adjustments nothing. Ford is wasting his talents here

First off, you are a fool if you can't see that the offense has a definite rhythm too it. Much better than previous years.

When you know you are gonna be able to destroy a team on the edges but know that future teams will be able to shut that down, wouldn't you want to practice pounding the ball up the middle?

Oregon is a prime example. They have tons of speed and felt they could just outrun us. They didn't know that we were faster. They were ill-prepared by not having a backup plan.

Les knows our strengths, but instead of just going all video game and exploiting an obvious flaw on a much lesser team he would rather work on what we aren't as good at. That way in the future we have experience of different situations.

Very wise response. Except me being a fool and all

I still don't see much of a learning experience running into a loaded front.

The only thing I saw that worried me as the backside cutback runs that Tennessee had success with. We had not backside contain on several plays. We gotta get that fixed.

There isn't. I think it's basically what the offense schemed for.

Where are all these terrible throws coming from?
Maybe it wasn't as obvious on TV.
He threw "please-intercept-me balls" to open receivers twice. Both well behind the target. One of those was both high and behind Beckham on a short slant. That is Pick-six material. Bad, bad throw.

Nothing came of it.
That is not the point.
Blowing off those throws as "no big deal" is kind of like saying a runner fumbles, but his own team recovers so "it's OK".
It's a problem.

And FWIW, I thought the JJ second half start was fine. (Since we REFUSED TO SWEEP ) LSU needed a rushing boost to help grind clock in the 2nd half. JJ gave that; bad spread option reads and all. He's an effective runner. But when he's in there, you just sort of feel the big play ability go out of this team.

All of which is a head scratcher because, coming out of HS, JJ was rated as one of the country's top pro-stlye QB's (? #7 p-s QB in the country?). Not dual threat.

Anyway, after getting back and seeing replays of the Chris Rainey fair catch interference no-call and the Auburn fans BS reaction to it, it reminds me how much I despise Auburn, and Bama too. Hopefully, the Tigahs bring their A-Game vs AU next week!

BEAT AUBURN !

we should have run Ford more Less JJ

I agree. When Jefferson is running the ball and has the pitch option, he will keeps it almost every time. If you noticed on Jefferson's touchdown run, the rb (I think it was Ford) wasn't happy. He didn't run over to congratulate Jefferson after the play. Jefferson is focused on making sure he keeps the ball.

Maybe because JJ's only concern is becoming the starter.

Regardless, when JJ is in the game they revert to last year's offense...as he goes so goes the offense. But with little big-play potential.

His running is fine, defenses will catch up to that, but his passing is terrible, late and inaccurate which is normal for him.

Spot on.

The way we looked in the trenches is a cause for concern going forward.

This was one of the observations we made as well. Both Oline and Dline had issues. Did anyone notice how Hebert got used? He could not block anyone.

Thought the guys were a little flat inititally, but that is redundant. Picked it up obviously particularly in the second half. Didn't quite understand why we continued to play folks like Ware late when the victory was secured. Overall, very happy as several contributed to a great victory. Now on to Auburn who struggled with the Gators.

I would have thought thus before the last couple of games because I felt like we'd be able to stop the run. But we haven't been able to do that very well lately.

Both our OLine and DLine looked VERY pedestrian. Play that way next week (much less vs Bama) will spell trouble
AGREE 100%

His mouth will cost us in the Bama game.

Oh and JJ made some awful throws.

How was Lee at running the ball? You couldn't resist a dig at Jefferson could you?

It's a shame that every thread has to turn into a JJ criticism.
LSU is blessed to have two QB's that can play and cause the opponent's defense problems.
I guess UC's old Basher Brigade isn't dead. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

This, I would have liked to see a heavy dose of Ford, Blue, and Magee late in the game save Ware's legs for nov 5

Just my opinion, but for JJ to have an impact in the Bama game he will have to give the ball up some. At this point, JJ pitching the ball will be more of a shocker to the D than him dropping back and actually passing.

This. Why were Lee and Ware in the game to start a drive with less than 8 min to go in a blowout? That would have been a great time to get Mett and the younger RBs some playing time.

How many yards did he gain keeping the ball?
Did he score any TD's?
