It gives the running back the ball quicker so he can see the hole. U are worrying too much about this. Have u ever played football?

I hate that Lee gives a hand signal to our backs on certain run plays that are a very easy tell to the defense that we are running the ball. Does anyone else see this?

We do it on play action passes as well, so it is no big deal.

I think it's cute how you NEED me to hate on JL. It pisses you off that I treat him the same way I do any starting LSU QB, doesn't it?

I noticed that, but it's a relief from the awkwardness of him dropping back to pass. I'm surprised every time he doesn't trip.

I'll admit, his dropback is not very natural-looking. But Lee is performing very well. I'm pretty sold on Lee. He's making very good decisions and putting the ball in good spots, for the most part. That pick looked like a miscommunication between the receiver and QB.. it happens.

How did he do last year?
3/6 for 19 yards and a dropped INT or two, until his big pass in the 4th.

He was visibly shaken early on, though. At the time, I thought something must have happened with him before the game.

Do you think he gave a performance there that would sell him to people?

I think I would need to be sold on our wr's much more than Lee after that game.. thats what I think.

I dont need you to hate anyone.
Ive read your posts as youve read mine the past yr or 2.. I know whree you stand (stood) on this issue.
As of today, things havent gone the way you thought they would... you should adjust your views and move frwd.
No reason to keep hating on me just because the way I thought things should be are working out that way.

Your posts today indicate otherwise.

I have done nothing more than support Lee since JJ was suspended. I have treated him the same way I did JJ or any starting QB at LSU.

And that just pisses you off.

It makes for good entertainment, though.

So you think Lee gave a "selling" performance against Oregon?

I don't think he played poorly, but he didn't look great.

I agree.

But the point was his using OU as a reason people should be sold on Lee.

I liked the half yard toss to the running back on that shotgun play

I don't, good chance of fumbling IMO.

I think that was supposed to be a read option play, but Lee decided late to give it to the RB.

he starts looking more comfortable in the pocket and doesn't throw off his back foot.

Regardless we are in week 3 now.. 3 solid games in a row.. getting better.

Look .. out of all the dbags that dont like me here you are prob the most civil.
Regardless what others have said... I dont tear JJ down nor have I.
I just dont/didnt like him as qb. I dont engauge in name calling or cheap shots. I get accused of it all from that to being racist..only problem is the liars that say this cant provide one link where I posted it.
I always thought Lee should have gotten another shot after 08.......He's finally getting it now as a sr. How about we enjoy the season and support the guy.
YES I understand its easier for me to say that now due to the situation, but maybe its all for the best.
There's prob gonna be ups and downs the next 9-10-11 games.
I remember 1st half vs ark in 07... MF got booed at HOME... Lee isnt the best qb to ever play at LSU, but he's more than good enough to lead this team to atlanta and beyond.

In other words, he was 4/7 for 67 yards, with 0 picks, a passer rating of 137.54, with 57% accuracy and 17 ypc. He certainly struggled.
