I never said wipe them away. I would argue that JL has wiped them away
quote:Definitely not overlooking his record since his last pick-6, I'm saying you have to look at the whole body of work. But even if all you looked at was his record since the last pick-6, I still think he has low potential to play on Sundays.
In my opinion, it is either short-sighted or even stupid to overlook his record since the final pick-6 was thrown.
But I hope I'm wrong!

quote:Look I'm a JL fan but you can't just wipe away all those pick 6s or blame them on the WRs or the O-line or whatever. JL threw some shitty passes back them and gift-wrapped many of those INTs. Hell, he still stares down his receivers a little too much sometimes for me, but not as bad as JJ does.
It is pretty moronic to still hang that pick-6 Lee moniker out there.

Breaking news: Richard Simmons is gay.

No, man, that's just silly. He's Bradshaw's gay love-child.

The Freak has to be in the good, along with Beckham.

If Alabama's defense is a boa constrictor , slowly sucking the life out of opposing offenses, LSU 's is more like a goon that throws the offense into a burlap sack and starts beating it with a stick. It is not a subtle business. But it is very, very effective.

The play wasn't a great call. We didn't need to throw it up like that.
But unless Lee audibled that play, it was what the coaches called, and they knew the risk. I don't see them reprimanding Lee for something that was as much their fault, and RR's fault, as it was Lee's fault.
Plus, we were winning in the end of the game and our running game was churning out yards. No need to throw it.

re: UF, Arky, Bama...Can we win all these games with the offensive strategy
Posted by Longfellow on 9/16/11 at 8:50 am to Hammond Tiger Fan
The offensive strategy is to grind the other team down, and take advantage when they stack the box. Miles don't necessarily care about scoring on every possession. Maybe they would like to, but sometimes they just play for field position, and try to stay on the field long enough for the D to rest. We've got the speed and talent on D to bail out the O when they struggle.
I think we'll struggle when we go up against a D that can penetrate our line and consistently make us go 3 and out. That will mean less rest for the D and less opportunities for the O to make a play.
What we really need to work on is our special teams play. That is where we can really shoot ourselves in the foot.
