Not that shite again! ESPN had a QB special the other day raving over how Andrew Luck can complete passes throwing off his back foot.
When LSU recievers can run "perfect routes" and
the Oline can make a "Prefect Bubble" to pass from for 5 seconds for Lee, we can beat up Lee for throwing off his back foot when in falls incomplete.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this. I find you very entertaining even though you are predictable. It's like watching Lucy pull the ball away at the last second. I know it's gonna happen but I have to watch every time.

yes, I think Lee's stats were great, but I thought he was off at times. The weird handoffs stood out, and he still threw off his back foot too much.
I am grateful for the win, but I am not 100% sold on Lee...

Chicken obviously hates LSU. He's just in it for the money.

If Lee has time to look over the defense during a pass play, then all will be well. This is the SEC folks, and the preceding statement won't be true at all times. Lee is making better decisions when it comes to not throwing interceptions, but taking deep sacks in close games isn't an option either. The coaches should and I assume will help him with this during practice.
I have always been a Lee fan, but I know that he isn't top notch yet. This year will be special with the defense we have so I think the best bet is for him to minimize his mistakes. Last night, he had several obvious mistakes. I hate the fact that his receivers were having to stop to catch most passes rather than catching in stride. Tipping the defense on run plays was so obvious; however, I noticed some misdirection late. Happy feet during pressure was obvious. The offense didn't have a good beat until late in the game which is directly correlated to the quarterback.
I state once again that I am a Lee supporter, but I want to be objective too. We are 3 and 0 at this point with another big game coming up next week. The coaches still have work to do and so does Lee. This year is a progression in action. I can't wait until the General has a couple of more games under his belt.

Anyone who thinks that was by design is crazy
Could be short practice week, Qb that has not taken the majority of snaps until 3 weeks ago RB's that are first years starters, 2 starting Oline men out, Ajustment to playing a very good Sec defense.New Off cordinator.
I look for better timing next game.

Is that good enough to win championships? I don't think so. I am glad for the win, and they will win a bunch of games, but I don't think "cautious" and "conservative" is going to win the big games.
I think it is. We are mainly a running team. So if we get to Atlanta or New Orleans and Lee throws for 200 or so yards with a couple of TDs...you add that to our running game (and you can't rule out our defense scoring or putting us in great position to score), and I think that's definitely a recipe for a win. It doesn't guarantee it, obviously. But if Lee plays like he has so far, I think it's "good enough" to win it all this year.
Matt Mauck was a relatively cautious QB, and look what we did behind him...and our defense this year may actually be as talented or better than 2003.

man im completely on the other side of this line of thinking
been a few years since i felt this comfortable with a lsu qb. not saying he is all world or anything but he is looking imo to be more than capable of taking this team to a bcs bowl this season

This is close to where I'm at as well. I certainly don't feel as worried with Lee back there as I have in the past.

fair enough but still feel like he is the best we have had at the qb position since flynn.

And it's comforting to see Mett look so much like a QB against NSU. Even though teh caliber of opponent was crap, he looked great, confident, and comfortable back there. So having him comforts me about QB issues, knowing that if Lee gets hurt or goes to shite, we still could be okay.

It's kinda like having a horse that wins the triple crown and complaining about how it looks while running. Lol. Some people just gotta bitch.

Whats the deal with how probably 10 times last night Lee is weirdly chasing after the RB for 2-3 seconds before the handoff? I don't think its by design. It happened under the center and in shotgun and it seems like it only serves to give the defense 2 seconds to get to the ball.
Yeah, it is intentional, and there are a couple of reasons. One is that it gives the RB time to see the blocking develop in front of him. Second is that the QB actually wants to stretch out and "show" the ball to the defense. Granted, it goes completely against the "old school" way of doing things, where you wanted to hide the ball, but showing the ball to the defense makes the play action that much more effective. Peyton Manning was the first QB I saw doing it, and they run effective play action even though they can't run the ball worth a flip.
