For real? Like just when they play each other or all the time?

It depends on how stupid the people I'm around at a given point are, but mostly when they play each other.

I grew up an LSU fan, because my dad was an LSU fan, as he had grown up in Louisiana. My dad also did not want to pay three times more for me to go to college, so therefore I stayed in state, and went to Mississippi State. Although I had a great time in college, I know hard to imagine in Starkville, it didn't take over me like going to a game in Death Valley does. I don't see how someone is a bigger fan because they go to a school when they are 18. I was an LSU fan long before I made the decision on where to go to college.

Raised a Tiger Fan, went to McNeese for undergrad (they paid me to go there, i.e. full scholarship plus financial aid refund check every semester), graduated from LSU for Masters, and LSU Law.

Only conflict was last season, and I pretty much cheered every freaking play.

Then how do you classify all the high school kids? They have to stop being an LSU fan if they chose NSU, McNeese etc? Nonsense.

I attended Southern University and I rather not support them b/c quite frankly they suck and I get tired of them playing for the mythical "Black College Football Championship."

I really think I chose the wrong school b/c my heart has always been with LSU. I just ran behind my friends b/c they went to SU and they couldn't get into LSU due to their ACT sores. And what's crazy is that all of them ended up getting kicked out the university over bad grades. I think that decision hurt me b/c it pigeoned-holed me into not having a diverse set of friends.

The only white friends I have are the virtual ones here on TD.com

If I could go back, I would go to LSU in a heart beat.

I would never send my kids to a HBCU.

I graduated from LSU for undergrad degree and Tulane for graduate degree. I cheer for Tulane and hope they do well, except when they play LSU.

Was it hard to not support the school you attended?

Nope, not at all...always an LSU fan growing up, lived a few miles away from NLU so that's where I went. Supported them while I was in school and for a few years after graduation and while I still lived in Monroe (birthplace of Paul Allen).

Stopped supporting them when they changed the name to ULM, left Division 1AA, dropped the program I graduated in, and finally stopped calling themselves Indians...strike four (actually quit when they went to ULM, just threw the others in for good measure)

By this post you obviously show your age and ignorance...anyone born in the state of Lousisana has the right to be a fan of LSU...they PAID THEIR TAXES..for people like you to have the opportunity to go to school...hopefully, you will use the chance to do more than post on a board that will not advance your career...

Native of BTR (Broadmoor HS - 1981). Went to school at Liberty University on an Army ROTC scholarship (1991 grad).

No contest, if LSU played LU I would be yelling...

a lot of my family went to LSU and I grew up loving Saturdays in the fall with the tailgating and the cook-outs and watching the Tigers.
When i went to school i turned out going to USL/ULL for a specific course and then Lamar, and then University of London.

I will always go for LSU with all my heart but if they play ULL, which is rare, I root for ULL. Its all good since they are both Louisiana schools.

I was raised a Tiger fan (father) and a Tulane fan (mother), but I decided a long time ago that LSU was my team. Now I do have a degree from Nicholls State and Ashford University (Iowa), but I'm for LSU........... SORRY

Oh btw, I did take a class at LSU in 1996 so does that count???????????

Grew up an LSU fan after watching them on TV as a child in 1958. The wild and crazy fans was the thing that impressed me the most. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Went to UTEP which is a commuter school. We did win a National Championship in basketball when I was in school. I have 2 sons who have graduated from LSU therefore I have paid my dues. I live in the area now and as long as I am breathing the Tigers will be a passion in my life.

Just some perspective: I started at Vanderbilt and graduated undergrad from LSU, then graduated LSU Medical, then trained at the University of Alabama Medical. I now root for Vanderbilt, LSU, and Alabama. I keep season tickets for LSU and root hardest for them. With two exceptions, I've attended every Alabama-LSU football game since 1966 when Snake Stabler was the Tide QB. When LSU plays Vanderbilt or Alabama I go neutral, just enjoy the game. Any other time I'm one of the loudest people in Tiger Stadium, rooting for the Tigers.

I was pretty much born a tiger fan who thought that life revolved around football on the weekends.

Every Saturday during football season revolved around college football and on Sunday's it was the Saints (if they were on TV).

LSU trumped all other teams, but I also grew up watching all the big rivalries which sparked my interest in college football. I really enjoy CFB and I am passionate about LSU.

My Aunt graduated from Bama so that love for CFB intensified through that relationship as well.

I attended LSU, but my dad went to USL.

Been going to LSU games since I was 6. I liked the ChemE department at LaTech better and it was several thousand a year cheaper for the same education, so I went to Tech.

Tech sort of has a football program, but not really, so I don't have mixed emotions about being an LSU fan.

I was going to LSU games before I could walk. It doesn't matter what school I attended
