I want to play a round friday morning as we make our way to Dallas. Wanted to play Olde Oak but they have a tourney. Where else could we have a nice $50 experience. I realize the drought makes for rough conditions. Just wanting to know what courses are in decent shape. Thanks

You can play at Shreveport Country Club for a reasonable green fee. The course is in good shape.

This. Green Fees are $48 with a cart. Not in the best neighborhood, but a good course.

Go with Stonebridge in Bossier. Fred Couples design. Haven't played it yet, but have heard good things.

Stone Bridge is a great course. I would recommend it over Shreveport Country Club but both are nice.

That place kills me. I just hit it crooked. Fun course though.
If you are coming thru Alexandria, OakWing was always a hit among guests that played with me. Fun, straghtforward, and has been in good shape.

My buddy runs links.. too fricking hot out there right now. NO shade.

Stonebridge in N. Bossier would be my vote. Eastridge and Southern Trace are members only but probably nicer. Shreveport Country Club is byob.

I like Northwood. Greens aren't in great shape but lots of shade, water and elevation changes.

If you're coming through West Monroe, Calvert Crossing is the best course available.

Stone Bridge or Shreveport CC are both good. Shreveport CC may be the less crowded of the two.

If your a serious golfer stop in Elek and play Links on the Bayou in the morning, and go down the road and play Oakwing in the afternoon. You can see one course from the other. Cost you less than 100.00. Eat at Oakwing, better 19th hole.
