Piggy backing off the Worst Saints Song Ever thread, what's the worse season ever for the Saints?

I suppose the 2005 Katrina season was a God awful memory, but at least it triggered the hiring of the current F.O./coaching staff/players.

What about the 1980 Saints that went 1-15 or the 1999 team that Ditka traded the entire draft for Ricky Williams and went 3-13? I think to most accurately measure the worse season ever, you have to include the draft and off-season as well as the actual record of the team.

This might sound strange, but for me it was 2007. I had such high expectations, and we were just so inconsistent. We'd be brilliant one week, and then shat the bed the next. Ugh...

I'm gonna say 2007 also. That Indy game was a chance for the saints to show everyone that that the 2006 season wasn't just a fluke. They laid an egg and lost 41-10.

We didn't gain the respect we deserved until the NE game in 09

1999 was the worst season for football reasons IMO.
2005 sucked not b/c of the Saints record, but b/c of the chance of the team leaving NO. The games at Tiger Stadium also sucked bad, but at least they were selling beer.

That Colts game was horrible, Manning and his audibles killed us. The game was over before my 1st dome foam was done. I got that game circled on the schedule this year.

I agree about 2007. We knew we had a good team but to start 0-4 was just brutal. Not sure if it was the worst but it definitely sucked.

Katrina year did have that opening day win against the Panthers which was pretty good.

'05 wins for me because I think there was probably at least 4 or 5 games that I just didn't watch. Just so depressing. I thought playing in Tiger Stadium would be amazing, but it just reminded me that LSU was pretty good and the Saints were bottom feeders. And seeing Aaron Brooks at the tail end of his run was just painful.

My youngest daughter was born during the preshow for that game. Watched that awful game in the hospital room till early third quarter when the cable went out.

2005 from the terrible record to the threat of them moving to San Antonio.

I watched the Saints lose to the Bears by a last second field goal in Tiger stadium that year. The game I have circled is the Bears week 2.

We paid them back in the SB......I think we had Manning confused in the re-match.

I fear our next matchup with New England....Brady, Bellichek and company have long memories.

2005 was bad on so many levels. The team was awful, and even worse when Deuce went down in week 3.

Some questions going on in the whodat brains:
Are the Saints moving to San Antonio or LA?
Is Deuce ever going to be the same?
Will the Superdome ever reopen?
Why are they charging LSU students so much to sit in nosebleeds?
Why the frick is Bouman in?

fans wearing bags over their heads trumps talks of your team moving, talks of your stadium never being open again, your owner going apeshit, practices and workouts in a parking lot, 16 non-home games, and all kinds of other mess AND a 3-13 season AND the star player missing 13.5 games?
