Five-SeveN: Very easy to maintain, large clip, no recoil, EXTREMELY accurate.

I'm always on the market for another gun. So what say you?

Glock 23. Only pistol i've ever owned and was given to me by my late and great grandfather who used it when he was working for the Bunkie sheriffs office long ago. RIP

Since I only own one, it's a ruger blackhawk .357

Shoots damn good and I love the feel of it. I feel like the .357 magnum is one of the best handgun calibers out there. I can use heavy .357 mags to finish off deer on the bloodtrail, buy powder puff .38's or cheap .357s to play around with, let it bounce around on the floor of my truck and not worry about it, and then clean it up and admire how pretty it is.

I'm a huge single action fan. You don't see very many of em since most people are DA or semiauto fans. I'm also a big fan of the SAA and the other good cowboy action revolvers out there.

My next will probably be a super redhawk in .454 casull, just because I want a big nasty hellacious revolver.

I will likely never own a semi-automatic handgun unless it is given to me. I'm just a wheelgun man.

Springfield 1911, or any 1911.

No explanation necessary. It's pure American badassism.

Sig Sauer P226 (9mm), because of its trigger and accuracy. It's like buttah.

I've several, but I love my Glock 23 best of all. If I had a 1911 I might feel differently, but I don't.

I agree with you on the .357. Very versatile, reliable, and just plain cool. My favorite is my glock 19. It is the perfect size for most any application, holds 15 rounds, is easy to clean, and is super reliable.

H&K USP .45. It is so smooth and it fits my hand so well and it is not a heavy gun. It is more accurate than I am and I just love the .45 round.

Colt 45 Government Issue because my father carried it for four years all over the South Pacific in the first half of the 1940's.

My Smith and Wesson 380 Bodyguard because it fits in my khakis pocket, slides out easily and has a laser sight which apparently people don't like seeing on their chest.

What's a Five-SeveN (5.7x28mm) comparable to ballistics wise?

Edit; Energy wise, is it a good defense round?

Nah. I am just assuming.

I was brought up by a weapons expert from WWII. I was taught well. He would beat me senseless if I ever pointed a gun at someone for no reason.

It's a neat little caliber. It isn't really comparable to any other handgun caliber as far as I know. It's a very high velocity, small caliber round.

It doesn't have much stopping power. However, when using the back tip ammo (hollow points) it would be very effective as a defensive weapon. It can shoot around 2200 fps (black tip), can pierce body armor, can fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, and can be accurate up to 100 yards. The clip holds 20 rounds and an extended clip can hold 30 rounds. It is meant to be complimentary to the P90 assault rifle.

Basically it is a rifle folded down into a handgun.
