Freezing Meat

Posted by whitetailed on 12/29/11 at 12:42 am
Got into an argument with a buddy and want to see how y'all freeze yalls meat.

Venison, hogs, etc - the back straps and tenderloins I put in freezer bags (ziploc shite) filled with water covering the meat and freeze. He says he just puts them in the freezer bags and freezes with no water. I've always done it this way and have not bought a vacuum sealer for some reason, which I wouldnt use water if i had that. Which way do y'all do it? Rest of the shite comes from the processor all professional and ready to freeze so no question there.

Fish - cover filets in water in the bags and freeze and he does the same. Do y'all do it differently?

Elaborate please...
Yeah I agree. JJ's running ability was needed in that game. I love JL too because the kid has shown more humility and patience than I could ever dream of showing. I would really like to know what he thinks about before going to bed (no homo).

I think JL will be needed again before it is said and done and he certainly deserves it.

Engine is the PC term I believe??
I agree. I had no doubt we would come back but in all honesty, I was questioning JJ's ability to come back after that. Thought JL would get his chance to come in and save the day but Miles kept JJ in and he turned it around and played great.

Question: If CLM would have kept JL in the Alabama game, do you think that confidence that would have been shown in him would have been enough to let JL settle down and take control of the game? Kind of like JJ today...

Also pointed out that JL would have been yanked having made half the mistakes jj had made at one point

I agree but we are racist if we say anything negative towards JJ. I don't care who is playing as long as the TEAM wins but I do not think it is fair what happened to JL. There is obviously favoritism towards JJ and no one can deny that. But CLM has always had a soft spot for guys who have paid their dues and IMO he values seniority over skill but not pertaining to the JL/JJ situation. And in JJ defense, he got screwed with the whole situation because he would have been starting had the justice system not completely blown a bar fight out of proportion.

If I were JL, at the end of the NC win I would tell CLM to frick off. Just my opinion. Carry on...
I held my tongue but I was getting frustrated with JJ. I know better than to doubt him but sometimes I just don't know what the hell he is thinking and then he turns around and looks like a real QB.

Someone said it perfect in another thread with the quote from dumb and dumber. "Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber (or suckier), you go and do something like this....and totally redeem yourself!!!!!!

Ruger Mini-14

Posted by whitetailed on 11/25/11 at 11:42 pm
Buddy was going to get a RRA LAR-15 and had been hoarding all of his leftover ones and other small bills from the titty club and change from McDonalds, but ended up buying some other shite and now doesn't have quite enough loose cash to purchase that gun. But he does have enough to get a Ruger Mini-14. He says he is just looking for a zombie/government takeover gun and wants a high-powered auto.

Any advice on whether that gun is a good idea or should he not do that? Ready to purchase now and doesn't want to wait so that's the deal...thanks.
His run was good but the most spectacular ever? A return that took about 16 minutes against a shitty punt coverage and mediocre Miss State. I don't think so...
Skylar Green catching the TD pass in the north end zone against Georgia in '03. Most spectacular to me because it was fricking insane to be in that stadium when it happened.

LD is toeing the line this season and I freaken love it. :rotflmao:

Guy is a genius I swear.
It's "out of sight, out of mind". And the whole oil spill thing was blown completely out of proportion. I'm from LA and know it was bad, not saying it wasn't, but people tried to use it for political gain. And yes they should've been able to cap it way faster than they did, but there's a difference in oil spilling out in deep water into the ocean than in a channel in Alaska where it has nowhere to go but land. Let's be real here, it could've been a hell of a lot worse.
Springfield 1911, or any 1911.

No explanation necessary. It's pure American badassism.
