Wrong. That win was vacated...did not count.

Was it really? I haven't kept up with it but I thought the regular season games were vacated but not the bowl since the committee decided to let them play.

We actually don't know yet. I was just havin' a little fun with ya and talkin' some smack.

I've heard that tOSU might actually get to keep that win, but that was before Tressel got caught lying. So, there is no telling what the fallout will be.

To the poster who was hitting on special teams earlier.

Oregon had 5 punt return tds, no kick return tds.

Of those 5, all 5 came against teams under .500 and 2 was non aq schools.

Oregon averged 21.09 yards a return on kickoff

LSU gave up 59 punt return yards in 13 games. Yes. 59 yards all season. And averaged .09 yards a game

LSU gave up 21.19 yards a return on kickoff, and it seems like a wash in that department.

I don't believe we will see any big punt returns from Oregon in this game.

lsu is 3 to 4 deep at every position. so actually you are playing three teams and i don't think oregon has the depth in the fourth quarter to beat LSU. bayou dave/geaux tigers

Arkansas had a dope fiend for a quarterback, & was playing against a team that had 5 players & a coach who should've been immediately suspended.

Yet it took a last minute gaffe to ice the game for you guys.

I am not and was not impressed with Arkansas, or tOSU.

Against LSU, Arkansas threw three TD passes. Two of which came against a backup safety who took absolute sh!t angles and went for a hit instead of a tackle. If either of those plays are made, its no TD.

Now, the 4th down call where they went after Mathieu and completely schooled him? As playcalls go, that was a thing of absolute beauty. Absolute jugular shot.

But, Arkansas did not impress me as a team last year. Then again, LSU wasn't really impressing me at 10-1 at that point, truth be told, considering all of our holes & flaws.

So, to say that Ohio State used a crooked coach who broke NCAA rules & used crooked players who broke NCAA rules to squeak out a win against a team I wasn't impressed with?

No, sorry, I'm just not impressed.

I guys make a lot of fricking excuses. Ohio state was ripping apart Arky until like their fifth cb went down and they were using walk ons. Who gives a shite if a dope fiend was their qb? That was the qb they choose. We could make excuses about the NCG but no one is buying them. And no on is buying yours either.

Btw, the joke is funny. You should go look him up though. Oregon has one of the, if not the best, conditioning programs in the country. If Heimuli is 321 after Radcliffe is done with him (strength and conditioning coach) than that's legit weight. Before you guys say how much better your strength and condition program is, look at our tempo and what our coaches did with with the supposed less talent.

Here is the depth chart of those ready to contribute now - not hyperbole

DE: Brandon Hanna, Tony Washington
DT: Taylor Hart, Isaaca Remington, Jared Ebert
NT: Ricky Heimuli, Wade Keliikipi
DE: Terrell Turner, Dion Jordan

SAM: Josh Kaddu, Derrick Malone,
MIKE: Kiko Alonso, Dewitt Stuckey
WIL: Michael Clay, Boseko Lokombo

CB: Anthony Gildon, Troy Hill, Scott Grady
CB: Cliff Harris, Terrance Mitchell, Dior Mathis

S: John Boyett, Erick Dargan, Avery Patterson
S: Eddie Pleasant, Brian Jackson, James Scaless

Rotation of 9 in DL, 6 in LB and 12 in the secondary. Likewise, with 9th rated class coming in I fully expect a couple of impact players. Most likely Anthony Wallace at ILB.

That is an assertion that Chip Kelly is decisively better than Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, neither of which has broken the .500 winning percentage mark against Big Les....in other words, that is the purest of dog shite I have ever seen/heard.

didn't oregon have a senior, black defensive end last year who was so athletic he could cover backs out of the back field? besides little matthews, he was head and shoulders their best defensive player. and he is gone. they lost three or four starting OL, with lighter weight talent as backups. they lost a shitload of DL and LBs. Secondary is nothing to speak of. Their defense is not going to find any traction in our power running game. I'm calling twin hundred yard rushers- probably ford, ware and/or Jefferson. On offense, their OL is not going to allow their O to get fully up to speed. I see a pick-6 a la Mo or Ty. If we tackle well (which is something we don't usually do in first games of year) and can pass the ball effectively, this shite could get uglier than VT '07.

Get crazier and crazier. They honestly believe Chip Kelly, who has a 5-3 OOC record, with 4 of those 5 wins being rent a wins(portland state, purdue, utah, New Mexico, and the last being a 6-7 UThug) and a 0-2 BCS bowl and bowl record is a better head coach than Les Miles(29-1 in OOC, 2-0 in BCS bowls, 5-1 in bowls)

Are you sure you want to start the OOC type thread?

Just to have fun with it here's some LSU OOC info:

1. LSU has played one road OOC game in 5 years.... In New Orleans.... logistics for that trip must have been difficult with the time zone changes and everything, finding hotels, air travel etc. Very difficult trip.

2. LSU has won one OOC "ROAD" game in 5 years.

3. 10 of 16 OOC games over the last 5 years have been against teams from Louisiana with a combined record of 45-74 or 37.8%.

4. Of the five home wins against teams with winning records:
LSU beat a depleated NC (8-5) 30-24
LSU beat WV (9-4) 20-14
LSU beat McNeese St (6-5) 32-10
LSU beat Appy St (11-3) 41-13
LSU beat VT (11-3) 48-7

5. LSU hasn't played an OOC game outside the state of Louisiana in 5 years.

6. Of LSU's 16 OOC opponents over the last 5 years, 5 have become bowl eligile. Four have played bowl games, NC beat Tenn in OT, WV lost, McNeese St didn't play, VT lost.

On the Oregon side:

Of the 9 OOC games referenced, here's some info:

1. Those 9 opponents had a winning record of 57-55.

2. Four of the 9 were bowl eligible and played in bowl games.

3. Of those four bowl games Tenn lost in OT, Boise State beat TCU in a BCS game, Utah beat Alabama and Boise State lost to TCU.

4. 33% of those OOC games were road game. All played outside the state of Oregon.

5. The three losses referenced those were to teams with a combined record of 32-8. Boise St accounted for two losses with a combined record of 26-1. 0

As for Portland State and New Mexico being on Oregon's schedule, I believe they were added to fill in when Nevada and Georgia wanted out of games previously scheduled with Oregon. These were "filler" games at the last minute. Not auto wins scheduled to build OOC records.

We had a few black DE but I think you're referring to Rowe. Likewise, I believe you are laughing at him sitting on the wheel route, which he thought he had safety help over the top. Brandon Hanna is his replacement and he quelled any fears we had of replacing Rowe.

Who said this??? Sounds like you're making shite up. Rowe was good but never head and shoulder above anyone else. Bair was likely to be drafted over him.

quote:

The oline starters were Thran, Holmes and Kaiser.

Holmes was 285 being replaced by Armstrong at 290 (I got verification on this on our premium site - he is listed wrong at 260 but that is not listed right). Thran was a tackle and is being replaced by Weems (thran 300 and weems 305) and Kaiser was a guard being replaced by Cody (290 kaiser and 296 cody). Weems had eight starts. So, we are replacing 3 seniors with thran missing some to Weems. That is more like 2 and 1/2. Likewise, the two other have 4 years of starts between them.

Your post was wrong on so many accounts.
