Cajun, I did not try to dodge anything. So much posting its hard to answer everyone. As far as your saying the SEC plays more bowl games then everyone, I am sure that is true. They get in by rankings and how many wins they add. If the SEC plays on average 3 cupcakes a year plus a decent game, you can see how their records are better then the Pac. But the SEC has not done too shabby either. Up to current time, in the BCS they are a very close #2 to the PAC in percentage of BCS AQ wins.

As far as your bowl game wins. Ya, the SEC has done good(except for last year). And BCS titles, of course, very very good. If really dig deep into my argument you will see that I clearly show the SEC to be very top dog in all CF. However there is one tiny, shitty Conference that is the PAC that has the SEC's number. lol And one cannot dispute play on the field vs each other.

And btw, there is another Conference that shows they have a better BCS era head to head record against you- the Big East. No joke! However, that does not take into account all last seasons games as that site is not updated. It was easy to update my PAC vs SEC games cause there were only 2 last year. I have no clue what the SEC did against the Big East. I think I can remember 1 or 2 losses though. But overall you might have won tons, I have no clue and right now, you might of surpassed them. As of the up to 2009 data, we only had one Conference more up then us, and that is the Big 12 and only by a game.

Any guy can quote past rankings, number of bowl wins, BCS titles, but head to head when we have faced, the PAC is on top. You do have one special thing going for ya. The SEC sent its best, the PAC sent its best, both undefeated till then and one lost, us. So we cant ever say anymore that the SEC never won a single title against us.

Bottom line, to translate all previous posts in this entire thread- DON'T F WITH THE DUCKS, lol. (its a song btw) don't F with the Ducks-song

If the game was decided by who has the hottest cheerleaders, I'd put my money on Oregon...

Maybe u Oregon fans should tell your DC to try and keep us to the Oregon side of the field. There's no better distraction out there than those little duck cheerleading outfits.

I'll have to give you the one about teams pulling out of games and the scramble to replace them and ending up with a D2 game. That happened to us last year.

One thing that playing 3 easy games does for a team is it makes it so you only have to win 3 games in conference to be bowl eligible. That isn't too hard. Tada, lots of teams bowl eligible.

As I said before, LSU hasn't been afraid to play a tough game in OOC. Pat yourself on the back. Shame on Georgia though. When a good team backs out on you, it's hard to replace them with another good team since scheduling is done so far in advance.

He was meaning Shame on Georgia for screwing us by backing out of their contract with us. And uh,cough, cough, it had nothing to do with their new AD making that decision right after we beat the piss out of Tenn.

You'd think that with all these mediocre teams getting into bowls by scheduling weak opponents that it might hurt our bowl record, but it doesn't look that way. hmmm... wonder how that happened.

All I did was look at LSU/UO for that time period. I cannot make a conference vs conference judgement based on that, but only by schools.

LSU's 2010 bowl teams
North Carolina(7-5)
Mississippi St(8-4)

Tennessee(6-6)
Florida(7-5)
Auburn(13-0)
Alabama(9-3)
Arkansas(9-3)

UO's 2010 bowl teams
Tennessee(6-6)
Arizona(6-6)
Stanford(11-1)
Washington(6-6)

-----------------------------------
I won't use last year since that was the year that we played two "non-cupcake" teams. So I'll use both of our 2009 schedules for this.

LSU:
Washington(5-7)
Vanderbilt(2-10)
Louisiana(6-6)
Mississippi St(5-7)
Georgia(7-5)
Florida(12-0)
Auburn(7-5)
Tulane(3-9)
Alabama(12-0)
Louisiana Tech(4-8)
Ole Miss(8-4)
Arkansas(7-5)
Total:(78-66) .542
Conference:(65-43) .602
OOC: (13-23) .361
OCC as % of Total Wins: .167

UO:
Boise State(12-0)
Purdue(5-7)
Utah(9-3)
California(8-4)
Washington St(1-11)
UCLA(6-6)
Washington(5-7)
USC(8-4)
Stanford(8-4)
Arizona St(4-8)
Arizona(8-4)
Oregon St(8-4)
Total:(82-62) .569
Conference: (56-52) .519
OOC: (26-10) .722
OCC as % of Total Wins: .317

In order to keep both teams even in terms of conference(since SEC played 8 and the PAC played 9) I added Washington to the conference when I did LSU's. Even with their non-winning record the SEC was huge(better w/o them though). The difference between the overall record is +4 in Oregons case, but our conference has a +9 record in comparison.

This helps us show that we don't need to schedule anymore OOC teams then what we already do. Our conference is hard enough in comparison to others that the addition of another OOC would almost certainly take the SEC out of the national title picture on most years. The PAC depends on the OOC schedule whereas the SEC doesn't need to, and we've proven that. SEC BCS Champions 7/7 whereas the PAC is 1/3 and that 1 is about to get taken away.

I think this just might become the most (over)analyzed game in CFB history, and we still have 3 months til kickoff.

Man, we've got some statisticians in our fan bases

ESPN need not do their own research. Simply look in here and they'll be good.

You will easily see the SEC plays the most cupcakes. And you will easily see, if you looked at the full PAC 10 schedule in the same time frame, The PAC plays the HARDEST schedule. You showed me quite a few big schools, but look at the PAC's, there are way more, and way LESS cupcakes.
If you're talking about OOC games, then yes, I agree with you.

However, you fail to realize that the PAC 10 is a cupcake factory--most of your cupcake opponents come from within.

I thought I'd bump this thread with a human interest peice on John Boyett. We had a discussion going on the Oregon secondary. John is probably the star of our defense next year. He has been the most steady performer and no one really returns what he does.

He will lay you out. He also has 8 ints the last two year.

He seems to thrive in big games and tallied 11 tackles in the NCG.

Freshman all america kid that should be ready to take it to the next level.

Anway, it's the dead period and you might as well learn the opposition.

As long as LSU has Les Miles they will never beat us.

Let the dumbasses believe that. They're obviously not aware of Les' OOC record AND the quality of our opponents that it comprises.

I think Bama and UF thought the same thing. Probably every OOC we played thinks this. Guess they learn the hard way.

Yep, the speed on the field will be elite all around. I love Boyett in that youtube laying out USC's five star guys.
