So I just read this https://bit.ly/imYayX and knowing what our (WVU) offense is now about, how deep do you guys go on the backside of your defense?

Obviously this is a southern site so they stroke you all, and I have no doubt your incredibly talented. How deep? And what do your freshmen look like coming in?

It's deeper than I can ever remember it being. And we won't be seeing any freshman getting playing time. Not they aren't good, they are. They're just not needed.

The secondary is the deepest area on the LSU team.

not quite as deep as the pile of crap the sweater vest dove into but pretty deep.

Yes, you are screwed, thanks for asking.

It's not really about the incoming freshmen this season. It's more about all the guys who were freshmen last year. Mathieu, Reid, Loston, Vinson, Simon all got extensive PT last season as Frosh. Claiborne and Taylor return as starters and Ron Brooks has been a key contributor as well. Another plus is that one of the weaker guys at safety was moved to LB and that makes room for all our Sophomore studs to get more action.

So deep that the number 1 rated cover corner, David Jenkins, will probably take a red shirt this year.

Dont remember the quote word for word, but chavis said he knows his defense is good when he looks up and its the 4th quarter and 4 freshmen are playing against bama in the secondary.

Damn, I was thinking about coming to the West Virginia game this year, but after reading your analysis for WVU this year, why put myself through the embarassment?

I'm not much on hyperbole, but this is probably the best and deepest defensive backfield LSU has ever had. The article you linked doesn't even begin to discuss the wealth that we have at Safety. Loston, Reid, Simon are all damn good ballplayers as well.
