Statement from Patrick Peterson on Willie Lyles. “I have never had any type of relationship with Willie Lyles and he had no influence on my decision to attend LSU, or any other school for that matter. He had no involvement with my recruiting process and I resent the fact that my name has come up in these allegations. I chose LSU because it’s a great school with a great football program. I never received nor was I offered anything to go to LSU and anyone saying otherwise is being dishonest.”

Sounds like Willie was trying to mislead the aTm coach into believing he had strong influence over Peterson.
Just get paid then say, "Well, I tried. Report your program trying to pay for a player to the NCAA if you want to."

He did. There is an article from August 6th, 2007 in which he states that he and his father were visiting one of his friends in Houston and his dad asked if he wanted to drive up to see A&M. It's in the payboards archives.

An angle people aren't thinking about. Why is this coming out? P.P. can potentially go #1 over all. The draft is nearing. like every year, rumors spew out about players before the draft.
could there be an agent or team funneling negative information about p.p. through this coach, who never told his superiors any such claims, for p.p. to drop in the draft therefore, their client gets drafter higher or the team gets the player they want?

It's pretty obvious that lyles was just using Petersons name to make some cash.
