The only reason I want to see it is it was shot in Shreveport. They shut down part of 49 for several weeks with a road carnage scene...

I may netflix stream it one day haha, it's getting terrible terrible reviews.

Ebert gave it half a star. His review is worth a read though, it's hilarious.

Here's a science-fiction film that's an insult to the words "science" and "fiction," and the hyphen in between them.

The aliens are hilarious. Do they give Razzies for special effects?

I really do take most of the reviews on rotten tomatoes with a grain of salt.

It's to the point that as a frequent movie goer, I ignore the rankings.

Standards are too high for too many on them.

Just because it isn't at the level of Inception or Inglorious Basterds doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed...

Although one complaint I've heard was wooden performances, which would kill a movie : /

I don't know why I would watch someone else play a video game, if you're implying it being like a video game would still be entertaining.

If they came out with a Battle: Los angeles game, maybe I would play it.

It looks like the special effects and action sequences all suck though. This is a bad bad movie.

I'll go see it. Can't be worse than Skyline. I mean, at least they leave the apartment.

That could set up a sequel, Resistance: Los Angeles. The surviving marines we met in the first film lead an underground resistance movement against their alien overlords.

I'm starting to think that Hollywood is biased against science fiction as a genre.
