Nah, even better. Sprayed 4 juice monkeys in a cigarette boat that tried to pass me from behind in a curve. I think they would have stopped and kicked my arse but the GW already had me.

Cigarette boats are prerequisites for juice monkey status. :fistpump:

Saban's vest saved his life. He slipped off the back of the boat, hit the swim platform and knocked himself out. I think he was in fact at LSU at that time.

Got one when I was about 15-16 for reckless operation. When idling up to the launch, my buddy had his foot over the edge of the bow.

I was some pissed, but would have rather had that ticket then have him find all of the empties in the live-well

i did see some USFWS folks hanging out at elzey's in venice in 84 or 83....long before venice marina or cypress cove.

well we were launching and heading to south pass and we just HAPPEN to hear these guys talking.. clearly not from south la.. we all kinda went hmmmmm....well we make our hunts and come back with strictly the possesion limit... but two guys behind us... had a brand new boston whaler, two newish ron chapman pirogues... 4 guys walk up when they are pulling boat out of the water...wait till they get out of everyone's way... the asked to see what they got...dumb but proceeds to open the icechest with about 40 canvasback.. - then the guy flashes a badge...all hell breaks loose.

they confiscated EVERYTHING in the jeep and boat..

one of the guys was a N.O. area judges kid... that they really wanted to get...

0.

I was with my Dad one time when he got one for improper hunter's orange. He had a mesh orange vest (similar to the ones the highway workers wear). GW said they had to be a solid material. I thought it was pretty much BS.

Thats all I've ever used was the highway vests that dad "found" at work. Oops

to stay on topic I've never had a ticket from a GW.

My friend got one, while I was with him...We took his dad's boat out when we were in high school, and while at the launch the ldwf were launching next to us..They waited til we got in the water and began to idle out. stopped us before we got out of the no wake zone..

Registration had just expired. The assholes wrote him a ticket after they just sat there and watched us launch..We had no idea

Come to find out, his dad had the new sticker at home on the counter and just forgot about it.

One when I borrowed my dads boat. Registration was expired. Boat had 97' tags on it & this was in 05'. I had sent in the renewal paperwork a week before but apparently my dad had never registered the boat in his name when he bought it back in 96' so the registration got flagged due to the boat being in a different name. I had the carbon copy & the stub for the money order with me in the boat too. The warden is the one who told me it had been flagged & then he wrote me the ticket even though I had sent in the paperwork. I was some kinda pissed.

The 2nd was because I was fishing in a closed area. This was 100% my fault. Cost me $225!

Know that feeling...0 tickets for me. Only ran into a GW once and it was at an annual dove hunt with tons of people so they are always there.
