That's crap.
Alleva, you suck if this is true.
Of course, I'll change my tune if he hires a coach that pans out to be better than Saban and Miles.
Is it too late to hire Papa John's CEO as our new AD? Lamar? Shaw Group?

If true, how the frick are these national media guys getting the scoop before our local media guys do?

Espn is trying stir the pot and force him out this time. They want to give a special f job to our fans since it'll be hard finding a coach this late

If true, this would be my guess.

They would do it if Miles wants to go, but the buyout is a sticking point with Michigan and they won't take him if they can't get rid of it. So, Les goes back to LSU and asks them to waive it because he wants to go.
If that's the case, then why is he telling recruits and undergads he's staying?

I think that's certainly plausible. It's a nice thought to entertain.

This is not true at all. I know for a fact this is a lie

I say that it's a class move. Give Les every opportunity to make the decision he wants and then he'll be at LSU forever or move home.
This will also show that LSU is a first-rate university that will work with a coach if need-be.

Also, y'all do understand the buyout is spread out over 4 or 5 years. Its not like someone is cutting the Athletic Dept a check tomorrow.

well, that makes no sense at all
maybe LSU's offering that inducement to miles and asking that he either lowers or eliminates LSU's buyout to him should he not take this michigan for future negotiations ..

you do realize the budget cuts dont mean LSU football and athletics doesn't have money. the cuts are on the academic side of things. LSU athletics isn't going bankrupt or anything like that

It does seem to run counter to all common sense. The only reason it could possibly be true is if the administration wants Miles gone.

Not saying Les is leaving, but my theory would be he is telling recruits and current players he is leaving to help keep them calm and from making a rash decision to leave. 20 year old young men have a habit of doing such things. IF he does leave, I imagine he wants to leave LSU in as good of shape as possible. You guys have been great to Les down there and I would think he would like to leave on good terms, such as a top 5 recruiting class and a full roster returning.

i would only waive it for Nick Saban, Jack Del Rio or John "the man" Gruden....

This is why Leach would be a phenomenal hire...he hates them and would love to prove them wrong

Not going bankrupt but the university takes the athletic departments money now.
