you do realize the budget cuts dont mean LSU football and athletics doesn't have money. the cuts are on the academic side of things. LSU athletics isn't going bankrupt or anything like that

this.

People are fricking stupid. If the LSU Athletic Department is willing to lower the buyout, that has nothing to do with LSU academics.

Why? None of those guys will ever be the coach at LSU. Ever.

This has nothing to do with conspiracy theories. Everything he has reported has been true and proven so. I ont know why peoplhave problems wth him.

Lowering the buyout doesn't have anything to do with the university but if our fanbase is naive enough to believe the university isn't taking more money from the athletic dept I don't know what to tell you.

People need to realize if we were to get someone like pelini, we aren't going to shite. He's a proven coach. LSU will have a good coach leading us next season. It just may not be Miles.

This isn't that complicated:

Lower the buyout, UM takes him. We hire another coach at $1.5-2.5M/year, LSU AD saves $2-2.5M annually.

It is interesting that what Shad says on his tweets does not make it to ESPN where he has to get two sources...

This is this jerks opinion....

I do not think Miles even knows what he is going to do. Ultimately, Kathy and the kids have a say in this. Miles is being loyal to Michigan more than anything else. If he wants to leave, then ....seeya....and next. I do not think Miles is a 5M dollar coach...IMHO

They would have to pay us the 1.25 not sure what we're "saving" by opting out of the buyout.

Answer to the question on if I think Miles is coming to Mich:
I would like to think he is, but something does not sit right with the 15 million rumors that have come AA's way over the past week or so. Too many conflicting reports have been leaked or tweeted.
Would Mich welcome Miles:
I believe most would, but like with any other coach, he would have his opponents at home.
Regardless, Miles wins in this situation. Great school in LSU if he stays, great school in Mich if he goes. Out of all of this, after reading Brandon's blog today, I have lost a ton of respect for our AD.

Pelini = good HC

But, there are some great HCs that can be had.

Highly doubtful...this is specific in nature...whereas, Miles would accept if offered could be more speculative...IMO.

I see what you're saying Golfer but I don't see the incentive behind ridding the buyout unless we have something else lined up already that is more beneficial to us aside from saving the cost of Miles k.
