I always check the meats and the cheeses. I've gotten some nice cheeses there and the selection changes.

Clorox wipes
seasonal paper plates and napkins
bacon
fresh fruits
fresh haricots verts
fresh chopped veggies
paks of romaine lettuce
bags of fresh asparagus-bought these almost weekly, this year-great

meat
milk
Eggland's Best eggs
chips
lunch meat
pasta
coffee
lunch-size fruit cups
spring medley lettuce mix (in the plastic box)
*** grated cheese (it's disgusting how much cheese we go through)
canned tuna
Bush's baked beans
granola bars

And yes, I buy the barrel o' cheese balls, but only for kids' birthday parties.

the sams that have the snack bar inside are awesome. You can get 2 slices of (good) pizza and a refillable drink for like $1.50

I also buy the frozen pizza dough from the deli. I usually split the case with friends. It's pretty good dough when you roll it out thin. I prefer thin crusts.

I either get a whole ribeye or a whole beef tenderloin while there.

for a quick meal I have always enjoyed picking up the frozen shrimp scampi they have.

Diapers/baby wipes
steak (typically the best intersection of price/quality in town, with choice ribeye/filets)
cheeses
horticovert
big bag of romaine lettuce
goldfish (crackers for the baby)
occasionally frenched rack of lamb (great appetizer on the grill)
wine

I'm generally underwhelmed at their prices for toilet paper, paper towels, beer, and cokes. I can usually find these things on sale cheaper at the grocery store or walmart.

I drive about 10 miles further to go to Costco. The Costco house brands just seem better. Has Sam's club quality come up in the last 5-6 years? Should I try it again?

I'm really happy with Costco, but the Sam's club is about 5 miles and Costco is 15 miles from where I live. I've been hearing from people who are very happy with Sam's meats, foods, etc. Wondering if they've gotten better.
