Which ONLY means that Hill's mom is being offered money, money she couldn't get from LSU. Do you realize how expensive it is to move from Louisiana to Alabama, especially without a job? Is a job being arranged for her? What about housing? There is money changing hands here, no doubt. Otherwise, why does she want him to go to Auburn?
This is getting out of hand. And, I bet that Hill has no idea that his mother is getting paid, ala Cam.

If true, that's a fricking shame. I hate for a kid who has always wanted to play for LSU to be forced to a rival because of a crazy mom. I know the whole background story, but honestly, if I was Hill, I'd sell AU to mom, then NSD put on an LSU hat. If she is using him to get out of state, then she deserves it if she is ruining his dream.

I can't believe this is in this thread. A week ago if someone said that Hilliard was a better RB and that losing Hill was no big deal the board screamed murder.
But now that Hill is going to AU his Mom is whoring him. bullshite. If she wanted to get away from his dad than she would send him to Oregon or Washington not to Alabama or Auburn.
Newsflash LSU is not the end all be all of college football. Sometimes kids want to attend other schools.

Hill is a great recruit, but it won't kill us if we lose him because the cupboard is pretty well stocked.

Hill grew up an LSU fan and committed early. Recently he de-committed. Those close to the situation say he still wants to go LSU, but that momma wants him to go to Auburn... And Momma wins. Why, we don't really know. Hence the speculation.

Yeah it is pretty obvious Hill "just wants to get away". That's probably why he committed to LSU early, helped recruit the other guys in the class, and was a commitment for 15 months.

How many times do we have to encounter the parents who view the recruiting process as "alll about them" and the fulfillment of THEIR dreams, instead of their kids?

If Hill really does want to go to LSU but his mom is pushing him away then something shady has to be happening. The dad excuse just doesn't fly. It isn't going to be a secret as to where Hill is going. Alabama isn't that far away. Why would a parent want to ruin her son's dream?
Now I will buy the excuse that he just doesn't want to come to LSU. Maybe he has concerns about playing time, maybe coaches want him to change positions or maybe he is the one that wants to get out of state for whatever reason. But I don't buy the excuse that momma is making the decsion for him.

There is no evidence of payments being made. LSU fans look foolish suggesting this.
Hill is going to Auburn for the same reason that Greg Robinson is going to Auburn. They believe that there is less talent at their position on the Auburn roster and they won't have as much competition for the job.
With Greg Robinson, this suggests to me he is both soft and illogical. He is afraid of competition mainly from other players that are not even starters in college (Faulk, Washington and Collins) yet thinks he has a shot at the NFL.
I do believe that Hill is not this soft and that it is his mom trying to get him to go. His mom lacks the confidence in his talents that he has.
My beef with Hill is that while he started going about this the right way, he appears to be playing games ("My top 2 are Bama and LSU" while all but committed to AU). We'll see how it plays out.
