Less than mile. So you admit that you were wrong.

You can't walk a mile? Oh well, I guess you'll have to stop going to games then.

I'm sorry you won't be able to go to games anymore. If you have season tickets, I know some people that will gladly take them off your hands.

I agree. The fee isn't that bad. Everyone will get over it.

Actually its 5000 feet as the crow flies jackass..

Include walking around to get out of the fence line and onto streets that dont go straight to TS and its OVER a mile of walking. You are the one thats wrong unless people start sprouting wings and fly to the stadium it is IN FACT OVER a MILE.

you are wrong. We've had our spot for over 10 years. It's in the $40 area. Half of our tailgate are retirees that are on a fixed income. I know they can't afford this. It sucks b/c they are some of the most die hard fans I know. They come early, leave late every game. They are too old to make the walk. I personally don't mind the charges as much as HOW it will be done. Logistically, LSU fails all the time. This will be a cluster frick in a huge way. If my spot was reserved, I'd write the check right now. But knowing that I am paying for something that isn't guaranteed is pretty shitty. People that think this won't change tailgating at LSU are delusional. Sure there will be plenty of tailgates that are unaffected. But there will be TONS that will have to move.

If paying for a parking pass stops you from coming to the game then you are not really here for the game. You only care for the tailgating. While tailgating is fun with good food and drink and all that bullshite, we are here to watch football games. So STFU and enjoy it....or stay home.

Hey cumjaws, look at this map and tell me exactly how you figure that 60% of the parking spots will be $40.

Well, if you park in the very back of the lot, forget your keys so you have to backtrack, and then walk in a zig-zag, then yes, you might break the Mile mark.

But, you could probably use the exercise, so you should thank LSU.

When do you plan on selling your tickets? Or are you just not going to renew them?

How about basing parking fees on whether or not you are a season ticket holder (or just have tickets to the game)? Let's give the season ticket holders first shot at the new pay-to-park spaces with a lower per game fee (maybe $10). Every game there are thousands of people who come out, tailgate, trash everything, watch the game on TV and leave. What does LSU get from this? More traffic on campus and a bigger mess! Presumably if you have a ticket to the game then you, or the person you got the ticket from, has paid for the ticket and a hefty TAF fee.

If you want to just come tailgate on campus, that's fine, but you'll have to pay more and park further away.

Why would I do that? I can afford it and have no problem with the price increases.

You are the one that is extremely emotional disturbed by the change and obviously can't afford to go to games anymore with the $20 increase. I'm just letting you know that I can put in touch with people when you are ready to sell.

the point is, by parking that far away, youre not really gaining any real advantage is regards to distance from the stadium...people who by parking tags and have reserved spots are, thats why they pay

if im parking a mile away, im forfeiting any advantage i could have, so why should i pay?

It isn't going to be an issue. He can't afford the increase and will be selling his tickets.

so it'll cause you to MOVE your tailgate, but I have some bad news for you. SOMEONE is going to scoop that spot up.

How is the spot not being reserved a problem? It isn't reserved TODAY and it's "your" spot. You admit that the parking charge will REDUCE the amount of traffice on campus, right? So...it should be EASIER for you to get that spot. So...you said you are willing to pay...pay! If you don't then someone is going to grab your spot, and LSU tailgating will move on.
