This is getting way out of hand...some perspective

LSU is 4-0 with wins against 4 BCS schools and beat 2 ranked opponents. LSU has probably played a tougher schedule (or close to it) than any other 4-0 team. They are ranked #10 in the subjective polls and ranked even higher in the computer polls that don't account for preseason rankings. LSU has arguably the best defense and special teams in the nation. And there is nothing but negativity and anger towards the teams and coaching staff.
What has LSU football come to that we can't enjoy an undefeated team and a top 10 ranking? Is LSU football really only going to be fun for us for the rest of our lives if we win 11 games a year AND dominate in those games? There was a time that going 8-5 and winning the Peach Bowl was a blast, but the fanbase is miserable with this?
We might finish 8-5 (at the very worst imo) and I will complain then. But to bitch and moan about a top 10 team with one flaw at the QB position is ridiculous. I will enjoy our record, the impending winning season, and the potential to have double digit wins (which is more than possible with luck and/or a little improvement at QB).

Meh...most people are complaining at the lack of want to try a different option at the lacking position.

the flaw at QB is causing our entire offense to be downright bad. we have championship caliber everything (even coaching) outside of 2 people right now. crowton and jj.
i have hope for jefferson, if he could get a teacher worth a shite.

You make good points, but Miles being stubborn about an obvious problem is something to be mad about.

Doesn't this one position generally dictate our chance to score points. Last time I checked the point of the game was to score more points than the other team.

You see, Matt, you're thinking all analytical. There is a huge grey area with this LSU Team and it's offense. There are opportunities to fix things before the 8-5 discussion takes place, which is inevitable

I would like to see Lee also. But this defense is so damn good that we dominate the field position battle and it is also impossible to score on us (much). How willing are we to jeopardize that by playing Jarret "Pick 6" Lee? If the 2008 version returns, it could negate everything positive that special teams and defense brings to the table.

I posted this in another thread, but I think it fits here too.

Imagine being a nascar fan. Your favorite driver just finished in 10th place, beating 75% of the field. It was clear, though, throughout the race that he had the fastest car out there. Only problem is one guy on his pit crew takes forever to change his tire... pit stops take twice as long as every other team, thanks to that one guy. If that guy would have even been mediocre, the race would have easily been won. How frustrated would you be?

Last time I checked we have done that.

You will have to score points at some point.

I think people are more angered by Les stubborness and unwillingness to try out other options at QB. Lee threw alot of int, and was benched for his ineptness. Jefferson is as equally inept with no consequence. This is what the fanbase (at least me) is so aggravated about. Play Lee, if he fails miserably, noone can say Les didnt try all options.

Pick 6 Lee lead us to like 30 points a game. You think he would throw pick sixes while in favorable field positions?
He may throw INTs, but with the field position we consistently get thanks to our defense and special teams.. they won't be returned for a TD.

When are some of you ever going to learn that it is not the record we are bitching against.
It is same ole shite we see over and over. Offense fricking sucks and nothing has changed and their might be an answer on the sidelines, but we still run the same bullshite. Jesus, if you can see what we were bitching about you would understand.
Before it is too late and we lose a game, why can't the staff just make the damn adjustment.
This year's team can go all the way, but if it's the same old shite, we won't.

No one is bitching about the D or ST's, they are bitching about season 3 of lackluster offense and incompetency at QB and play calling. I think the OL and Ridley are doing a great job, the play calling, WR's and QB not so much. This team is much more fun to watch than 2008/2009, that is the truth. 4-0 is meaningless to most as that is how 2008/2009 began, actually 5-0 in 2009 and then the real schedule began.

Here come the you're happy with this team crowd?/ you know nothing about football, people / the scared of future losses people, who will point out how many times we have been x-0 before going on to lose games/ the I pay for the product, I will bitch if it is below my standards, group / the miles haters, the lee lovers, the people that will slam you for being a "miles" supporter/ the people that are mad because you are not... bunch that post on the asylum called the rant.

This is one of the few fanbases that will agonize all summer for the start of football, and then be miserable when it gets here. These people are so upset about future loses, that they can't even enjoy the game. Really sickening. I wonder if these people are ever happy?
