Serious question LSU fans...

IF.... IF WVU wins tomorrow night, will there be any excuses? I'm serious. Hey, I could absolutely understand if the great LSU overlooks the lowly WVU. Especially with Tennessee coming up! I just hate when we beat the crap out of teams, and then coincidentally they have some convenient excuse after the game. So, if there is one, why not man-up before the game and let it out? If we win, do we get any credit, or will it because of some excuse?

All depends on how we would lose.
but there would be a melt down either way.

You win, you get credit for the win
but the loss falls on JJ and the coaching more than it does on WVU
thats just how it works

Excuses:
1) Crowton is an idiot
2) Miles is an idiot
3) JJ sucks
That should cover it.

How about we cross that bridge when we come to it?

Dude, the idiots on here will be too busy calling for Miles, Crowton, JJ, Alleva, and their mothers, to be immediately fired/released.
Excuses won't come until they calm down next Wednesday.

we will give you credit because you beat a very talented team in one of the hardest places to play in college football, but it just won't happen!

I thought WVU fans were a roudy and passionate bunch, but I think you guys are up there with anyone in the country. This place is a riot!

My favorite excuse is the referees, which is normally pretty accurate. They're worse than ESPN, imo.

Feel free to stick around.
But, you may feel more comfortable on some of the other boards.
Like most other boards, the vast majority of the posters here are great, but we do have a few dipshits. So, as long as you don't flame the board, you should be cool. Welcome!

seriously, there is no way you are going to win, therefore no excuse needs to be discussed. Do you really think ya'll have a chance to come to this stadium and beat an sec perenial power house team such as the mighty LSU Tigers. The most fun you will have is seeing tailgating like it is supposed to be done. This will be the highlight of your trip. Have fun

Serious answer.
From ME --- if your team wins, you get credit and congratulations.
If our teams simply screws the pooch and jacks it up somewhere --- I'm not blind to the underlying reasons for said opponent's win at Tiger Stadium.
If your team stops our offense, scores on our defense and outplays us on the field --- then they would have shown themselves to be the better team... but we have to play the game to find out.
Good luck -- I'm looking for a good game and an LSU win ... but I'm not blind to the fact that WVU is a good team too ... and the outcome is far from certain. Nearly EVERY SEC game is that way... sometimes one team is clearly better --- but most often (and even then) the games are typically pretty close and the outcome comes down to who gets a break or gives up a big play.

I'm screwed. Win or lose, I'll probably become some closet LSU fan after hanging out on the rant. You guys are too much fun!

I'll sum it up like this. Geno is a cerebral quarterback. He doesn't like to take chances with the ball, and would rather throw it away and punt than give up the int. His accurracy is excellent. He goes through his reads extremely well. He'll give a shot or two downfield, but he likes to be methodical and move the chains. What scares me the most is something a lot of people haven't talked about. No offense to Geno, but I think he's kinda injury-prone. And even with someone charging in to plant him head-on, he won't flinch and stays focused on making the throw... putting himself in danger as an easy target. If our OL, which has been horrible, allows too many hits on him, I won't be surprised to see him hurt (and I'll feel horrible).

skipM, I am just curious as to who the teams that you have beaten the crap out of are? In the past 2 years, the only teams that you have beaten by more than 2 touchdowns are Marshall, Syracuse, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina and Maryland. Now, out of those teams, who are you bragging about beating the crap out of? Just wondering. By the same token, what is your teams excuse going to be when your starting running back, who has been already talking crap, gets shut down and your team gets beaten? Oh and how did that last game ya'll played against an SEC team work out?

Should WVU win you'll get 2 responses:
Positigers: WV is a ranked team that beat UGA in the Sugar Bowl, give them credit.
Negatigers: Fire Les/Crowton and pull JJ's scholarship. They just lost to a Big East school and don't deserve to be at LSU anymore.
