Why do you think some people don't support him? If he's a perfectly good coach, what problem do the "haters" have with him?

He's not Nick Saban.

I thought this was common knowledge.

1. He's not Nick Saban.
2. Fear that their "Texas" (Insert other School Name Here) will have a leg up in the water cooler argument.
3. They legitimately feel he's not a good coach.

I'm sure there are others, some might have some merit, most don't. IMHO

The same problem the fans had with Mainieri--didn't win soon enough without enough pitching talent.

Speaking for myself, I've unimpressed since not long after he got here.

And before someone says, "but he won a MNC", so did Larry Coker.

Now the UT @ San Antonio HC. Hot commodity there I tell ya.

In the case of some, Nick Saban is the only LSU HC they can remember other than CLM. They haven't see a losing season at LSU- and are fearful it could happen.

Of course- one day it will. Nobody is immune from that. Ask around.

A kid who's 20 now was 9 when NS was hired here. No offense- but that's not much history to work with. But that's not their fault. Better to have known only a winner than the other way around.

For others, young & old, I believe that yes- once they tasted BCS success, they wanted and expected it every year. It'll be no different at Bama after they stumble- which they surely will.

It's not Les Miles... these folks would hate ANYONE who is head coach for more than a few years and does not have a near perfect record with multiple championships.

Some think they are smarter than him because he doesn't have great public speaking skills. Obviously this is a dumb criticism.

We have fans who would suck Saban's dick if he asked.

We have fans that don't understand what Miles has actually accomplished since being a Tiger.
