Andygator and it's not close. I'm not a fan of Amber at all.

I like them both. Is there any way I can order andygator online? I live in Alabama and there is nowhere to buy it.

How does Andygator compare to Spaten Optimator?

I thought Gump state law precluded Andygator (and the new SOS) due to either the big bottle or the ABV%. It seemed odd that someone said SOS couldn't be sold in MS or AL, one over the big bottle, one over the ABV. Maybe Abita figured we could drink all they could make here.

AL passed some law last year that allows "high gravity" brews to be sold to the public (at least in mobile county).
I had a pint of Amber and Andygator last night and both are great beers IMHO. Just depends on what you feel like drinking and how drunk you want to be in a few hours

It's lighter bodied and in general not quite as good.

I'd still take Andygator over Amber usually, but they are probably the two best flagship Abita brews.

I have a friend that lives in Bham... He says it's on draft at a few places like On Tap

Personally I think both of them are mediocre.

Now send me over a keg of Abita's vanilla cask-aged Turbodog that I had last night and I will drink the entire thing in one sitting. One of the best Abita has ever put out.

Andygator is a really HORRIBLE beer.

Im not a fan of barley wine though.

Really the best beer they make is Abita Light. (Compared to other light beers) Which doesnt say much though.
