Pity Me: I'm a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates

Has there ever been a more inept franchise? 18 losing seasons in a row with no light at the end of the tunnel.
Such a proud history too.

Why did they fire two coaches today? Nice stadium though

They have a ton of good young players, it's just about keeping them.

Baltimore Orioles are worse.

you just happened to miss their golden years.
cycles.
1960 Mazeroski (the Yankees scored 1,658 runs in their three wins led by Richardson's amazing series, but the Pirates squeaked out one run wins.
Stargell and the terrible towels, and some bs about pickles.
BARRY fricking BONDS in his pre steroid youth and
the brilliant Van Slyke, super teams, lost to Braves.
See. it was not THAT bad.

I've been with 'em since the 60's. Unfortunately, they seemed to have checked out of MLB right after that horrible NLCS series with Atlanta in '92 (I think). It's like Pitt has its own Curse of the Bambino only worse, they can't even play .500 ball.

As an Orioles fan, let me say, frick your fricking Pirates for 1979. You havem't experienced enough losing yet to make up for the We Are Family Pirates robbing the Orioles.

My Dad's from the Pittsburgh area and a lifetime Pirates fan so I like to see them do well, but it doesn't kill me when they continually lose. I just don't understand how they get all this young talent and as soon as they establish themselves in the majors they trade them away for more young talent to develop.

Then it's worse for me who's been a Brewers fan since the late '70s.
