I wanted to eat Italian Barrel last time I was in town, but we didn't. Don't think this qualifies as NOLa style, but still. I just wanted some imported meats, and to see what a $30+ cheese plate looked like.

I don't know if it fits the criteria or not, but I like Maximos.

I used to like 1179 before the old chef died. It hasn't really been the same since.

I really try to like the place, honestly, but Vincent's does absolutely nothing for me. Hell, I make it a point to hit it up every year or two, just to make sure, and I never walk out thinking differently. I walk in expecting something akin to Ginos (actually pretty similar menus), and I walk out just thinking ehhhh.

Definitely Tony Impastata's. Not to pricey, good service, and you got to love the sports decor and jerseys on the wall. And the 100 year old guy who plays the piano. My parents swear hes the same guy that they used to see 30 years ago.
