Think anyone in NOLA would go to a Brees sandwich shop?

...he's jumping in as an entrepreneur himself: Brees recently inked a deal to develop the Jimmy John's sandwich franchise in the Big Easy, and his ByU Gear clothing is sold throughout the Gulf, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity...
...I was exposed to Jimmy John's during my freshman year at Purdue. I ate there all the time and had it delivered to my dorm room all the time. I just loved the sandwiches. But then the entrepreneurial juices started flowing, and I started thinking about the type of organizations I'd like to be involved with, the direction I wanted to go and what I'd like to create. Honestly, I missed Jimmy John's so much from my time in the Midwest, and I thought that it was a great fit for what we were doing in New Orleans. The culinary arts is a big thing down here; there are the great restaurants and the great chefs; and so much of the culture is surrounded by food and dining. It's kind of neat to be part of that somewhat by owning my Jimmy John's franchises.

I don't think it will last. It's just a bunch of really plain fake po'boys.

Um... the guy that owns Jimmy Johns is opening up another location, so... I assume he's doing pretty well.

Screw this crap. He needs to loan his name to a big money investor and get a nice sports bar opened downtown.
It has been rumored that one will open with the Manning name attached somehow. Drew should beat them to the punch on this one.

Why does he need a JimmyJohns franchise? Just find a local restaurateur to partner with and come up with a concept to slap the Brees name on.

He should name his buns Breesus Buns.

In my eyes Brees can do no wrong, but this is a slippery slope dealing with food in New Orleans. People may just try it out b/c it has Brees' name on it, but if it's not a good product and doesn't have any N.O. flare to it, it won't last long.

Hooters and Taco Bell are destined for failure... at some point...
