Do people that say they "hate" soccer know they sound like idiots?

I'm not saying you have to love soccer or even care about it, but when someone utters the phrase, "I hate soccer," it makes you look/sound like a dumbass.
Yes, I know it is cool to supposedly "hate" soccer. America, frick YEAH. Well, 99.999999% of those who utter this do so for either 1. attention or 2. because they are dumbasses.
I don't particularly love watching soccer, but it is a legitimate sport. No different than basketball, baseball, or golf. Yet, time and time again you hear "that" guy say something along the lines of "soccer is for figs." Grow up and quit trying to say things that make you look cool.
If anyone legitimately "hates" soccer, I would love to know your reasons. You can dislike having to watch it, but why make fun of it or feel the need to repetitively say you hate something because you don't understand it?
In conclusion, you sound ignorant and dumb when you say that.

I don't love soccer but I don't hate it either. Like baseball and golf it's fun to play but boring to watch.

after watching that match saturday I now know how my wife feels when having to watch football.

and you sound like a whiny bitch. It is a figure of speech, its easier than having to point out a 10 point plan of reasoning for not liking it to you soccer lovers, back to the World Cup board with you. I have never seen a group of fans get more butthurt for people not liking their sport than soccer fan.

I'm no "fan." I enjoy watching almost all sports. I just get irritated that everytime soccer comes up, some doucher feels it is necessary to say that he hates it.
