This is true. And the invisible man of the match was Frank Lampard. Whoever was marking him deserves kudos for his play as well.

I was waiting for the British guy by Mike Tirico to say "take the group by the balls" when he was stumbling around for a phrase to say there.

absolutely. this is the same team that couldn't put enough pressure on fricking brian ruiz to prevent him from looking like pele. our players came up big when we needed it, and we prevented one of the best teams in the entire world from breaking our, admittedly, thrown together backline (due to injuries).

I just told my wife the same thing. He started then realized he was on TV and scrambled to find another analogy that would fit.

Not a soccer fan at all but after watching a couple hours of that Ill have to admit. One of my top 5 exciting games in the history of sports!! WOW, just WOW. I cant believe it, 1-1. I thought for a moment there that we would get 2 or they would get 2 BUT NO!

No they shouldn't have. They fricking sucked. Only reason they looked "decent" in the second half is becaus eBob Bradley decided to be a dumbass.

I am very happy with the draw, considering we looked like pretenders coming out the gates. Even ignoring the goal, we were terrible to start off.

Absolutely fantastic result IMO.
And you can't blame all of that on Green. We would have played very differently in the 2nd half if we needed a goal to draw.

Not to mention that if Green doesn't save Jozy's shot in the second half, England loses.

Right. Sure there are some reasons to be concerned about a few things, and maybe luck went for and against us in some situations (Jozy's two golden opportunities), but I'll take a 1-1 draw with no bookings against England to start this tournament over a 3-0 drumming from the Czechs.

We're ranked 14th out of 32.

England's talent >>>> Our talent.

We drew, which is a GREAT result for us. It's all about getting out of the group.

you're joking. America looked like shite. They couldn't even score a legit goal. If we have any other keeper back there this would have been a U.S. loss. You should be satisfied with a tie like everyone else. Robbie Green deserved man of the match the amount he helped you guys out.
