For a moment, I thought there was a legit chance they may weasel their way out of this result.
An "L" is acceptable; but at least be in a position to compete for the "W".

The A&M game had absolutely no bearing on Miles' future though.

ESPN 1420 in Lafayette he was asked by a caller what he would say the chances of Les returning next year: he said 2%. He then went onto ESPN 104.5 and said the same thing with Jimmy Ott. Source: I listened to both shows.
A big part of coaching is developing players...so i don't really understand your reasoning?
I can't imagine a way in which this could have been handled in a poorer manner. The dude stays silent for two weeks as the university is dragged through the mud on a national level; then 10 minutes after a meaningless victory he pulls this chickenshit. Unbelievable.

If Miles was always the coach, then he should have said it 2 weeks ago.

frick the team in white. I'm not even gonna call them by their name anymore because there is nothing "royal" about them.

is she correct in saying that's one of the reasons they don't want to let them go?

Among other thing, yes. Plus just imagine how destabilizing that would be. I could go on, but I won't.

The entire country is an economic nightmare.

Fact.

according to a madridista from spain (take it fwiw) catalunya actually has all the industry so spain would be the one that's fricked ecomonically

No they're right, Catalunya has historically been the most economically profitable region in Spain.

how's ny? we've missed you! (well, i haven't had anyone to antagonize...does that equal missing?)

It's cool. Actually been in L.A., just finished a short film. Kinda why I haven't been online. And yes antagonizing, or MISSING of antagonizing, counts as just regular old missing :booboo:

Will never happen. Catalonia would have a GNP about on level with Louisiana. EU bailout every other year.

Haha no it won't, but it is a serious topic of political discourse EVERY year.
 I don't mean to come across as hostile, just providing facts.
Several players play or have played for the Catalonian "national" side. Hell, how do you think Puyol injured his leg for 3 months?

barca cannot really be called a nationalistic side

you kidding? Catalonia wants to break away from the country of Spain.
