I agree 100% I think that Boise has more than proven themselves worthy of joining the Pac 10 as well.

Figured Boise would use this realignment drama to find a way into a major BCS conference.

You know it kills them and even Utah to think about watching from the outside in for years to come.

Won't happen even though they've done pretty well against them for the past few years.

Why would any major conference want to take on Boise State? They're horrible at EVERYTHING except football, and are basically a junior college when it comes to academics. Also NO ONE lives in Idaho, and no one gives a shite about that media market. shite, even the MWC won't add them right now because they'd rather the leftovers from the Big12

boise state is a commuter school that plays in a stadium with 30k capacity. doesn't exactly fit the mold of UT, OU, etc.

Just thinking if they could get in and get the money payout from being in they could use that money to upgrade.

Boise State isn't that far removed from being a Junior College. Absolutely no possible way that the Pac-10 invites them, even if they get a no from the first 20 schools they ask. I don't know why people keep on suggesting this.

Endowments:

Stanford University - $17.2 billion
University of Southern California - $3.6 billion
University of California, Berkeley - $3.1 billion
University of California, Los Angeles - $2.6 billion
University of Washington - $2.2 billion
Washington State University - $678 million
University of Colorado at Boulder - $593 million
University of Arizona - $519 million
University of Oregon - $498 million
Arizona State University - $494 million
Oregon State University - $476 million
Boise State University - $53 million

Which one doesn't belong????

I hope the Pac-10 invites Boise State. Even if they are awful at any other sport and are not as established as the other universities you listed. I am tired of the drama at the end of the season when BS always has an undefeated season and everyone tries to argue their ranking and BCS bid.

Honestly, the correct answer is:

So if the Pac 10 is not the answer for Boise than what is? They play good football against a weak lineup cracking a few top dogs here and there. They need a conference more on their playing field. I agree with others at the end of the year I am tired of the small schools with no strength of schedule and the arguments of if they should play for a national title or not. I think all the conferences need to expand and bring in some of these teams to even the field a little or the best they can be. Obviously some conferences will be bigger/better than others but the TCU,Boise, Utahs need to fit in somewhere and can ND please go in someones conference lol.

I think Utah and Boise woulda got in earlier if not for BYU... I think Utah and BYU are joined at the hip and the PAC 10 didn't want BYU, specifically Cal I heard

I knew somebody was going to say that. Stanford is just on a whole different level. They are up basically an ivy league school. Back to the point though, Boise State absolutely sucks in every aspect besides football, plus they have little resources, plus they are stuck in Idaho. The might get invited to the MWC, but not if the Big 12 breaks up. All 12 of those schools would be a better choice than Boise State.

Boise's BEST OPTION would be the MWC. They were expecting to get an invite to the MWC until the report about the Pac-10 raiding the Big XII.

There is no way in hell the Pac-10 should invite Boise. Geographically, MAYBE it makes sense...but none of these decisions are made solely on geography.

Exactly. Too many people think that having a decent football team is what the conferences are looking for.

Im sure Boise St. wants to stick to the WAC so they can have a cake walk every year. Then bitch and complain when they beat a bunch of high school teams. They dont want to get pwned in a real conference.

Boise State is one of the reasons all of this is happening, however slightly. The BIG schools are pissed that some of these little schools keep taking some money from the pot. The BIG schools created this thing called the BCS and now little schools are hopping around stealing money. With 4-5 Mega conferences it opens it up to seperate from the NCAA so the BIG boys can keep all of the money in house.
