Tried a couple dishes, had shrimp skewers from one of the asian booths which was ok, and had my all-time favorite crawfish with lobster sauce from Trey Yuen. Finished it up with a round of bananas foster from GW Fins.

the praline creme brulee dessert from Flour Power was by far the best thing I had there today.

also had a sampling of Brisket Tacos from the Superior booth, BBQ Chicken Sausage from one of the sausage booths (was really delicious, IMO), and red jambalaya from an unknown vendor...meh.

i believe it was from Ba Mien? friends of ours parents own that restaurant and they were there tending to the booth today. the skewers were tasty.

el tigre would've been pissed today. It was packed and I had to wait a whole 3 minutes in most lines. Some lines I waited a whole 30 seconds.

I had some great dishes today. The BBQ shrimp po boy was good but favorites were the shrimp and cheddar and bacon grits, shrimp and alligator cheesecake and crawfish Louise. My runner up would be the brisket from Tujaques

Dammit, you all are making me hungry already this morning.
On Friday I only had two dishes, the crawfish and goat cheese crepes and shrimp and eggplant stuffing. Both from Muriels.

Very timely, I'm rolling that way in a little while. Want to make sure I get there early to dodge the long lines.

I have never found lines at FQF to be anything like the lines at JF, that is why I like it better.

Went there about a month ago and loved it.......and I have to say they make one of the best mint juleps I've ever had.

Crawfish and goat cheese crepes from Muriel's were awesome...

Also enjoyed the charbroiled oysters (forget where from, not Drago's) and the crazy potatoes & tenderloin from Crazy Johnnie's...washed those down with a buttermilk drop...

GW Fins fish tacos weren't good at all...was surprising, since the restaurant is great.

Also had the shrimp & alligator sausage cheesecake which wasn't my favorite...bread pudding with whiskey sauce and chocolate crepes at Jackson Square were both good.

Also went on Friday to the Mint...got crawfish bread from Lakeview Harbor and a pulled pork sandwich from the Joint...both were good.

Didn't go today, as my wallet was a lot thinner while my stomach did not experience the same effect...

Cochon du lait poboy was my favorite thing there. Boucherie's 12 hour RB was excellent as well. The turtle soup was another fan favorite, court of two sisters I believe.

Anyone try the po'boy from Emeril's Delmonico? I saw someone purchase it, take a bite and spit the rest out into a napkin. Saw the rest dumped into a trash can.

I had the Delmonico po-boy...pretty good.

The one truly nasty thing I had was Superior Grill's shrimp taco (was offered a bite).

But mostly, the festival was a whole lotta average, so-so stuff.

After a few hours, I was very happy to leave and enjoy the rest of my Sunday.

i had:

Oyster Bonne Femme over Bow Tie Pasta: pretty good

Slow Roasted Duck Po Boy from Jaq-imos. Heard a lot of people talking about it. i thought it was underwhelming. Ive had better seasoned duck from Zeas

Shrimp and Alligator Sausage Cheesecake from Jaq-Imos- i thought it was good. nice flavor, the crust was nice as well

Louisiana Crawfish and Goat Cheese Crepe from Muriels- liked it a lot, creamy and very tasteful.

Creole Crawfish Sausage Po Boy from Vaucresson- may have been my favorite. Bread was solid, and the sausage was on point.

most of all, i waited 1:32 combined for all dishes. Yes, i timed it.
